  • A great unmistakable voice of our time!!!

  • This girl is soooooooooooooooo BAD! Wow

  • yessssssssss my jam

  • 80s and early 90s r&b women were some empowered, bad-asses!

  • I used to listen to Angela Winbush album and Miki Howard's album. It's one of the few time where I had two albums I enjoyed equally. Although I think I liked Miki Howard better listening to Angela Winbush was just as good to me.

  • This song, unfortunately, was lost in the shuffle of the N.Y. hip-hop renaissance of 1994 and the height of the New Jack Swing movement that started in the late 80's with Keith Sweat and Guy. I'd heard this track on the radio back then but; admittedly, I didn't pay it much mind. It wasn't until later when hip hop started to decline (circa 2000) and R&B became diluted by non-singers (circa 2001 w/Ashanti, Amerie, J-Lo, etc.), that I started looking for lost gems to rock to. Beautiful song!

  • This song is hotttt!

  • Chuckie Booker produced this song and used the same beat from his own song Games. Angela also used nearly the same beat and melody from her duet hit Smile for her other big solo single Angel.

Love Angela, but it's just kind of funny how she used retread tracks for her to big songs. It's especially strange since she is such a musician having produced and played all instruments on two of her albums, you'd think she'd go for more original productins...anyway, sang girl!

  • @Yobachi2007

I'm sorry. I know both of these songs pretty well (I'm the only person I know who has both albums).

The sound is similar as the this is what CB was doing at the time, but how are they the same? This isn't a re-tread. Though it does feature a common hip-hop drum machine element. But that's part of what I like about it. It incorporated this thing that EVERYBODY was trying to do at the time, but blending it with the smoother bass and her voice to make something unique.

  • This is real musics

  • ONE OF THE HOTTEST SONGS EVER!!!

  • Excellent arrangement.

  • GROWN and SEXY ass Angela!

  • Goooood music...throw back,good ol days

  • Now this is music

  • Take away the glam and nothing much left. Voices sound weak and just like each other. That's new school Im talking about. Sorry but true, you should listen to the old school and take notes for real. Call Rachelle Ferrell, Ledisi, Angela Winbush, Anita Baker, Phyllis Hyman, Milira, Vesta, or somebody from this era. At least Ledisi, being she is new school. Guaranteed she was inspired by at least one of these natural born talents.

  • She's an angel. Reminds me of my mom...:)

  • who is the male voice on this song?

  • @uzipolo Chuckii Booker

  • Man she was hot during this time...well even now she`s ok

  • feelin' this......

  • man i'd give ANYTHING to go back to this time!

i love this song the feeling everything i miss the 90's!

  • This track still sounds as fresh as if it was getting regular airplay on the radio right now. It's certainly better than what's out there right now.

  • LOVE IT!!!

  • Love Angela! The epidemy of class and style!

  • This Joint is still hot.

  • Angela is a person not to many mention when it comes to best vocalist.. I put her in my top 5 of all times

  • Ill take this over any RB chick out there right now.

  • love angela,phyliss hyman,chaka ,stephanie mills,anita baker.

  • Vocals¡

    #cold

  • 29, LOL....hommie, U betta go aks sumbody. Deez womens taday hav no clue. Angela had it going on....always had it going on! Women today need to take a lesson from her about how she can keep her man!

  • Like if Unsung brought u here!

  • This came out 1994 when i was 20 ive got 2 12' vinyl copies this tune sound just as good as when i first heard this.

  • @1974cfjl i got the cd maxi

  • @JMVEntertainment thats cool to have ive never seen one yet

  • damn, i love this song sooooo much, i was only 10 when this jam came out!

  • Damn, I had no clue Angela Winbush was this FINE!

  • Ms. Winbush is absolutely fabulous! I remember Donnie Simpson playing this video on Video Soul on BET and loving this everytime it came on. Her voice is phenomenal.

  • This is the song that introduced me to Angela winbush.

  • Nice Chuckii Booker touch!!!!!

  • angela winbush is so sexy and has a great voice ...where is she these days come back angela your very talented!!!!!!1

  • old school i remember this use to come on video music box

  • Damn. Probably the most sultry jam I've come across. What an awesome vid. The overall effect of the tight-hypnotic groove with the alluring grace, beauty and voice of sweet Angela just cuts me to my knees y'all. I surrender !!

  • St. Louis' own Angela Winbush! One of the most underrated songstresses!

  • Angela Winbush- da voice of soooo many classics.

  • Wow! what a rhythm..WHAT A VOICE!

  • 'Tll this day, Angela Winbush is STILL one of the finest women to ever grace this earth.

  • Chuckii did his thing on this!! And well...what can I say about Angela!!! BEAUTIFUL vocals!!!

  • that is one gorgeous woman.

  • Love this song!! Thanks for this throwback!!

  • PRODUCED BY MY COUSIN CHUCKII BOOKER!

  • @pooky63 of why you want to play your games on me? i loved that song too!

  • the guy's lips in the begining needs some chapstick!

  • Angela's Winbush has the perfect blend of soul with a soft edge. There aren't too many R&B divas who can blow like her without sounding like they're trying to blow ou the mic (Jennifer Hudson) or scream just to show how well or hard they can sing (Fantasia). I miss Angela and hope she'll release some new tracks soon.

  • Her voice is amazing. She was so fly!

  • She used to be married to Ronald Isley... She had a couple of hits from the 80s.

  • The music in this song reminds me of Shanice's "This love's for Real", from the Meteor Man soundtrack, from around the same time as this was released. Both great productions!

  • Angela looked fantastic here and always sounded that way. I was surprised to find out that she battled cancer some time ago; saw that on TV One's "Unsung".

  • Classic song...the only one that wasn't written or produced by Angela.

  • YO DIS IS MY SHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Sick Tune! old skool still rules!

  • BEAUTIFUL SONG!

  • I fell in love with this song back in the day when I first heard it. She's beautiful. Great song, takes me back.

  • All the guitar parts in this song are on point. real, real smooth and tasty.

  • Now this is real music right here!

  • It's hard to believe her Daugther was on The bernie Mac show but it figures she looks just like her

  • @Ricram40 daughter............the dark skin girl?

  • @Ricram40 Angela has children?

  • @Ricram40

    angela doesn't have any kids

  • I bumped this in my car everyday they knew I was comming when they heard it

  • I bought this CD when it came out in the 90's. This woman is an unbelievable singer.

  • Dang Angela, girl u rock this!!!

  • all my old schoolers on here do me a favor. just watch and listen to the video and notice the difference between yesterday and today. yesterday-great voices, funky ass beats, classy r&b singers, well dressed, great interviews with donny simpson, well spoken, & great passion. today-half naked, poor substance,no more donny simpson type interviews, auto tuned voices, shitty beats, youtube super stars, no more ''groups''. i don't want to hear shit about time has passed. simply put 80% of music today sucks.

  • I just heard this song for the first time on XM radio and had to buy it immediately. Can't stop playing it! What a great groove! Just a wonderful song! Have shared it with all my friends.

  • She is my inspiration to age gracefully. She is still beautiful to this day...no plastic needed.

  • dats da shit boomem jam

  • Love this song, Angela was a beautiful, sexy and classy female R&B singer in her time. Love her! She's still beautiful inside and out.....

  • this was my jam and still is. Angela winbush is awesome.

  • If she is not one of the most absolutely beautiful women in this video, I just don't know what to tell you. I remember the very first time I saw this video in 1994. I was deployed in Somolia with the Marines and saw this. This just re-confirmed the fact that this woman had my heart and soul.

  • i love this song to death beacuse angela has some verry good music that i can realte too and thats damn good for some one so young just love this song

  • @jasmine11068 dam she reminds me of chaka, Vesta Williams, Layla Hathaway, Betty wright. & Valarie Simpson, Regina belle.........this song also reminds me of Janet Jackson, & shanice, TLC.

  • @maxday1000 I agree with this sounding like Shanice. I mentioned recently that the music reminds me of "This Love's for Real", by Shanice off of the Meteor Man soundtrack.

  • @shannonD68 yes...............even that video reminds me of Janet Jackson, especially when she say ( can u see how i feel baby) when the song first come on. and did u know Janet is at the end of her song (smile) laughing at the end.

  • You can definitely hear the Chuckii Booker influence on this song...she definitely put some sensuality into this song!!

  • I saw UnSung last week and this song has been on my mind ever since. When they flashed her performing this song on Soul Train, a had brief flashbacks of being in middle school when this was out. Had to listen to this joint again.

  • I feel bad for yall that have "Just" got hip to this beautiful woman's music (I guess it's better than not hearing of her). I've been down with them since I was 6, up to Wall to Wall, and so on. This sista oozes SOUL MUSIC!!!!!

  • ONE OF THE HOTTEST TRACKS U WILL EVER HEAR!!!!!!! Angela Winbush was the shiiit!!!!!!!

  • damn i remember waking up to music like this on saturday morning in the 90s...the hood use to be ruff but that was home and music like this to make it that much more comfortable...how i miss the 90s

  • On the real 'Angela should hook back up with Chuckii and just let him run the table with a new project. His approach on music is so far beyond what most people can comprehend but with the two of them reunited, I'm sure they can give R&B a run for it's money. GO OLD SCHOOL 'Angela.

  • My God!! How could I forgotten about this joint!! I can't imagine it was the same singer who sang "Smile" and "Angel" from 1986. Angela is what the REAL RnB Needs to get back with today. Todays RnB is NOT an real RnB no more. Beyonce or Ks Keri can't even get with this good ol beat or nothing. We need REAL RnB BEATS like this back!! Not of that Computerized Tech singing shit nowadays.

Love Angela Winbush with her sexy self and her voice!!!!!!

  • ooooh i so remember this song i used to love to watch it on video soul!!! ahhh the good ole days

  • this is real STYLE! this song could have gone on for much more than 4 minutes...she CAN DANCE...represent.

  • this is real STYLE! this song could have gone on for much more than 4 minutes...

  • Chuckii Booker produced this song and he has such a unique and versatile style of sound. He's not only an underrated producer, but also an underrated singer as well. HE needs to come back into music!

  • @valzozos what is he doing now?

  • @MOREHOUSE80 Last I read, he was working on his new album and still producing and performing nationwide.

  • One of the best. Real music from a real woman. Very talented woman.

  • @Flowerchile67 reminds me of,

    shanice (its for you)

Janet (thats the way loves goes)

    mills (never do you wrong)

  • @Flowerchile67 also miss Patti (right kind of lover)

  • Angela will never go out of style !!!

  • This is for all the grown and sexy folks who know what REAL music is. The reason why most kids don't like this music is because they are used to the watered-down mess that blasts from urban/hip-hop radio nowadays. Today's female "singers" are totally dependent on Autotune, something Angela knows nothing about.

  • When this came out,(late 94)I ran out and got this album right away!!! The whole cd is the BOMB!!! Love this song! Got that smooth groove ;-) Love u Ms Winbush♥

  • @TheMonolith75 I thought that I've heard this song first time in late 92, Mostly 93.

  • @qwandiddy All I know,I heard this in 94.I have this album and it said 94.

  • @ Shelly, I totally agree!

  • @ Shelly, I totally agree!...

  • Super Tight!~

  • Love it..

  • If they had more music like this on the airways I might actually put down my Ipod for a while and listen to the radio.

  • This is my jawn right here...I be bumpin this and all the ole skool hip hop and r&b from the 90's out my truck, my son's be mad as shhhh. I be tellin them this is real music right here....I miss the 90's :(

  • shes so beautiful. and a beautiful voice of course. this is good music.

  • Chuckii droppin an extremely nasty track for Ms. Angela!

  • Can't wait to catch her on unsung. I remember this song like yesterday when me and my mom will ride downtown early in the morning to run errands.

  • What happened to all the great female R&B singers like Angela Winbush? I'm 29 and had never heard of her until I played "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City." If it wasn't for "I'll Be Good" catching my attention, I'd have never know who she is.

  • @movielothario How's that possible? You were already 13 when this track was released. She was mad popular way before then.

  • @silentthriller Better late than never. Rihanna, Ciara, Beyonce, Keri Hilson, Nicki Minaj haven't got a thing on her. Ms. Winbush doesn't need autotune or guest appearances by a series of (c)rappers or "vocalists" to help carry her on her OWN album. Vocally, Angela Winbush can mop the floor with all those girls.

  • @movielothario Right on! There should be a revival of true vocalists like Angela at some point.

  • @movielothario It's amazing that that's how you found her.

My older siblings played this music all the time.

Great to stumble on it again.

  • @movielothario thats the same way how heard about her. i fell in love with 80s at like 12 years old

  • @movielothario What??? I am 30 and I been loving this voice since I was small! Where did you grow up??

  • @superstarlavar In a small town in Florida. I've always liked Soul/R&B: Tina Turner and Anita Baker being my favorites. Angela Winbush was a welcomed find added to my lexicon of lovely ladies with big voices. The music industry would be a lot better off today, if it would go back to its roots: talent.

  • @movielothario its a dayum shame

  • this is that work

  • im 30 and i woke up str8 outta my sleep this morning with this song ringing thru my mind... had to hear it. some people wake up knowing what they're gonna wear or eat. i wake up knowing what i want to listen to.

  • beautiful song

  • the old school....bring me back please...this woman has a voice from god...luv her..

  • to this day!...her first cd called Sharp!...i still play it

  • Funk it up Angie!

  • she's a class act

  • oh how so classy and sexy the vids were in the 80's-90's to some parts in the early 2000's....and of course TALENT!

  • she looks great to this day too

  • this song reminds of summer

  • I will forever love this song!!!

  • chuckii did his thang on this track

  • This song rules. I miss this type of music, for real. They don't play this type anymore. Angela Winbush is awesome! I remember her when she teamed up with Rene. Great times.
