About the slightly-tinted visors: I'd guess this slight tint might be related to different protective layers, such as UV protection, anti-fog, nano-clean and so on. Might be that on some pricier helmets the visors are clearer even though they offer the same kind of protection, but I'd suppose it's cheaper to have protective layer that filters out UV for example while also blocking a tiny bit of visible light, leaving a tint. Please kill me if I've just needlessly explained the bloody obvious.

Vespas are pretty expensive here in the States too. And they aren't that great compared to the Asian scooters for similar prices. Really, the only reason to get a Vespa is to have that classic-style Italian scooter. Too bad scooters aren't as popular here in the States as they are in Europe or Asia. They are on the rise, though, with petrol prices going up.

A Vespa is cult. Over 10 or so years, the Vespa still rides while the Yamaha is long gone. Just try to get spare parts for your Yamaha after a decade: you can't. While Vespa parts are available in abundance.

I can get 75MPH out of my Vespa super sport. Not bad for a 125cc. Style, safety, comfort, reliability, prestige, build quality, holds it's value better than any other brand of scooter... I did all the maintenance etc on a friends vespa, lx 50 i think, and it was the most painful experience of my life and has put me off buying one ever ever ever in my life. piaggio scooters are brilliant but anything vespa is just painful

I think the most visors are polarized. Giving it a ripply rainbow effect if you wear polarized glasses with it. Also some video will show it depending on the sunlight angle. It's so you don't get so much glare from other light sources like off buildings and other vehicles. Safe Riding!

thats a vepsa T5 125cc two stroke geared very fast for its time and the T'5' is it had 5 ports in the barrel and its a early model as u have to mix the oil with the petrol than auto mix :)

Dude, everyone knows the Italian bikes are made very cheap. Hence the design fault on the early '2000s models, they're immobilised but you can disconnect the barrel and kickstart it up. Mine has had many attempts to be nicked, the only thing making it survive is A: the owner (me) is a mug, and replaces all the parts and B) I chain it up ALL the time.

vespa came out right after ww2... i'm sure there were enough bikes that went faster than 100 km/h by that time. And the Vespa was invented by someone who hated motorcycles, out of spare plane parts (wheels were small landing wheels, the motor was the plane's starter-motor, body was spare aluminium from planes etc)
