  • After 2006 some people find it necessaiy to compair al classical music with mozart. Ofcourse there are influences on Beethoven, but not just from Mozart but of other composers before Beethoven like Haydn for instance. For your information this is the young Beethoven who's early sonatas bear the greatnes of all his music.

  • 10 months later. This Adagio still hints at Mozart but, in the meantime, I have listened to a wonderful live performance by Sviatoslav Richter and studio recording by Maria Grinberg and I don't hear the Mozart there as much. I'll place Grinberg's performance a hair above that of Richter and both superior to this. I have accumulated 29 of Maria's sonatas and the other three by Richter. What beauty!

  • While it sounds more like an attempt to be Mozart than a Beethoven original, this is still a lovely, but not great, composition and it is *extremely* well played. I should mention that I have never heard this piece before so I really have no other performance of it with which to compare this one, but I still like it.

  • And still I think this piece much more beatifull then any Mozart sonata..
