I've seen the episodes(Pegasus, Resurrection Ship and BG Razor) with Cain years ago and am finally watching the entire BG series. I'm of the opinion that Admiral Cain's demise came too soon in the series. Her character was definitely flawed but was on the verge of redeeming her humanity when it was meaninglessly ended. The same could also be said about Commander Jack Fisk. Both deserved a more heroic ending.

Helena Cain character should have been explored deeper in such a way that she could have served as a counter-point to Commander Adama's and President Rosylin's.
