I speak two languages, so I know how hard it is to sound like a native speaker, even if your own native accent shows from time to time. It's not easy being interviewed, as you said, with the pressure of being perfect in speech as well. Being able to understand particular words in each country is important. The designers want the models to be boyish, practically hangers for the garments.

The clothing walking the runways is not meant to be worn as it is on the street. These are extremely artistic renditions of the designers' vision. The outfits are often campy and exaggerated and grand - then the people watching take away ideas from the collections and alter them to fit their lifestyle. For example, few would be comfortable walking around with the hairstyle at 3:12, but many wouldn't mind a similar poof, but just smaller and more understated.

Traditional runway model look is getting pretty dang old. I want to see people that look more like me. Designing clothes for long sticks is pointless. Whose going to buy it?
