  • Thom Yorke would smile while watching this

  • She isn't Thom Yorke. Blasphemy.

  • truly truly awful, i want to punch them all in the mouth

  • Very nice!

  • Beautiful. Thank you

  • HOW DARE YOU STOP RECORDING BEFORE THAT LAST NOTE.

    What a shame.

  • All Fireworks and Hurricanes Katie! How can I buy a proper recording?

  • This is pretty fuckin' sweet; I wish there was a better quality of the audio recording. Amazing though, Amazing!!!@$!

  • yah...awesome voice. awesome instrumentation

  • 4:42 I just couldn't hold on my tears 'nd smile no more

  • wow. such a beautiful song and such a beautiful singer.

  • This is what I'm doing - does anyone have any suggestions on where I can find this sort of orchestral backing music? Much appreciated!

  • @aubignespratling That will cost you a fortune, just sing

  • i love this girl the greatest live voice i have ever heard just sublime

  • I'm not heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere... this isn't happening

  • My nipples are so hard after that!

  • Outstanding.

  • DAMN DAMN DAMN why is the last note missing??!?!!!! AAAARGGGHHH!!!

  • I will never sleep again until i hear that final note!

  • The ending gave me chills.

  • OH MY GOD!THIS WOMAN IS AMAZING! BEST COVER EVER!

  • Beautiful arrangement, well performed!

  • Is there a better quality recording?

    Please record this!!

  • i am speechless, thank you

  • I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS -- it's *tragic* that there is no studio recording! The arrangement is nothing less than genius and the vocals are perfection. It's like they saw through to the deepest essence of this song and manifested it for us. KATIE PLEASE PLEASE RECORD THIS!

  • 3:38. Pretty much an angel just came down and gave me a kiss with the sweet breath of life.

  • the unprofessionalism of the guitarist bothers me although the music was excellent.

  • @adamc404 his movement is necessary in order to generate the correct amount and length of feedback

  • Ok so these people have done one of my fav radiohead songs such justice! I mean i'm speechless! This girl singing did well!

  • @kenzoi I don't care. Muse sucks. That's all. They aren't a band. They copy everything we hear.

  • @TheComputerism

why do music "fans" need to prove their tastes more valid than other's tastes? why cant we like what we like and be content with it? i personally find much more resonance with Radiohead than i think i'll ever get from Muse, but i'm not going to bash Muse fans.

  • damn..... I cant speak after that. Truly amazing. I believe my face just melted away

  • i just lost my poop

  • Muse and Radiohead are both awesome in their own way. Only a fool would compare them.

  • @Huey027 ......yeah..........

  • less is more.......you cant make a song about isolation and depression this "busy"

  • brilliant cover

  • Is there any better quality for this vid ?? By the way, this is a GREAT version of How to disapear Completely.

  • Beautiful. A great arrangement of a great song, sung by a great singer. There's nothing not to like about this, except that the ending is cut off.

  • i love how that guitarist reckons hes Johnny Greenwood...this is his BIG moment....

  • Whoever arranged this is brilliant, it sounds so alive.

  • @platinumdynamite That'd be Tognetti, R. Check him out.

  • 3:10, take it outside!!

  • Hhhhmmm...Not sure...especially towards the end when her voice turns silly.

  • @sirpickles thats part of the sing

  • @sirpickles thats part of the song

  • The only thing I don't like are the hand motions.

  • en qué disco viene esta versión?

  • @masiosareune Kid A

  • So wonderful. Great voice.

  • Awesome cover, but I feel like the flitty strings make it seem too peppy. I dunno, I like how sad and devastating the original sounds.

  • @dominickkk5 Yeah, the plucked violins don't really fit, do they?

  • I'm never cared much for orchestras but they did a very nice job.

  • Please can someone tell me the arranger. This is awesome!

  • beautiful of course, but not as intense as thom's singing

  • this song gives me the chills.

  • I like the violins most. They are fresh and crispy as a frosty morning. Beautiful.

  • Quite clearly one of the best singers in Australia.

  • Excellent cover choice and perfectly executed.

  • cool stuff bro

  • I watched this because I thought I would scoff at someone trying to cover one of the most beautiful songs I know and I ended up wishing I was her doing this amazing tribute... stunning!

  • stunning voice...

  • I would give almost anything to of been in this theater, how much of life I am missing watching this....

  • Oh my goodness, that was absolutely beautiful !!!!

  • RADIOHEAD - HOW TO DISAPPEAR COMPLETELY

  • this kills every cover of this song... much more creative this strumming a guitar...

  • Awesome!!!!!!!! My skin feels like Goose bumps!!!!!!

    Fantastic Cover.

  • i like the way the violins play, sounds quite manic, the jumpiness of the playing

  • Just great that such music is being recognised as being the classical music of our time.

  • oh my fucking god. her voice is absolutely breath taking. jesussss christ.

  • people are far to possessive of radiohead, i though it was a beautiful cover, recontextualised the song which i what you want from a cover.

  • it sucks how it cuts of at the end there.

  • that was amazing! all of it! i think her voice went well with the song, and the string arrangement was very good.

  • great stuff! guitarist is left handed, chek it

  • It was just ok for me...think it would have been incredible live. Though I do think Thom & Co. would approve.

  • beautiful voice..

  • WOW. but of course, not as good as radiohead's. never

  • frenzypuppy, please explain why the "context is all wrong to you"? That's a pretty confusing, broad statement. Why shouldn't she sing this song? You said you like katie noonan as a performer, so why does it offend you so much? Do you want it to sound exactly the same as radiohead or something? Anyone with any artisic integrity will cover someone using their own sound interpretation of it, which is what she did to brilliant effect.

  • WTF ???? what the hell is she doing ???? She's completely out off the song. when not understandin , not singin...that's pretty much better. Don't understand why did se try to cover Radiohead ... it's kinda far from her :-\

  • @sirjacko1 Disgusting. Can't you come up with some other way of expressing sentiment toward something? Pervert.

  • no, sorry, i don't like it. Not because of Katie Noonan - she has a great voice. But the context of this is all wrong to me. Because you can sing a song doesnt mean you should. Fail Katy, sorry.

  • started out awesomely, even what originally was the falsetto was magnificently done... only the 'strobe lights and blown speakers' part turned me off... 4/5

  • brilliant shit!

  • beautiful and amazing. cheers.

  • OH MY!

  • Fucking hell, her voice is magnificent...

  • Oh Katie...so beautiful....x

  • It sounds pretty, but conceptually - isn't this somewhat inappropriate given the theme of the song?

  • What do you mean? Does it sound cheerful to you?

  • beautiful

  • love it

  • I went to this concert in Perth. Katie Noonan's voice gives you tingles... absolutely beautiful. Sadly no sign of any downloadable or buyable versions of the concert though. Thanks for uploading.

  • 3:46 sent chills right through my body.

  • woww beautiful voice. first time i'm hearing it.

  • Not that I don't appreciate you sneaking your mobile in dude but oh how I wish this had better sound quality *sigh*

Still brilliant to listen to though ...

  • is this recorded anywhere else [like in a recording studio] where and accessible download it or buy it?

  • only bummer is not really letting the strings just rip it up. they don't sound very cohesive...very 'traditional' overall. but, still very nice. a great song.

  • What an incredibly beautiful arrangement for strings.

I caught Katie on 'Live At the Basement' (TV show in Oz) and tracked her down on the web. I hope she does more (arguably) offbeat stuff like this. What a showcase for her incredible voice from 3:30 onwards.

    Beautiful!

  • this is absolutely beautiful.

  • awesome!! to bad there isn't a good recording of this... i bet it would be amazing. well done :D and p.s. radiohead is awesome!

  • I like MUCH more the original.

  • obviously!!

  • noo, you stopped the video at my favorite part of the song. she has a very nice voice

  • nooet ootem

  • Stunning

and if there is a band around better than Radiohead I would dearly love to know about them

  • Melchizedek Ratio.

  • There isn't. They are no#1 hands down.

  • @NowForTheTruth Arcade Fire might do.....BUT Radiohead = God <3

  • @NowForTheTruth Muse... That's what they say xD . But I don'T believe them.

  • @Manulion1er Who the fuck says that? :D

    Radioheadftw :)

  • @Artingence The fans of Muse... They don't have tastes xD.

Yeah, Radiohead for ever! If I was a woman, I would marry Jonny Greenwood.

  • @NowForTheTruth Thirsty Merc

  • @NowForTheTruth try Van der Graaf Generator and Peter Hammill as far as i know in Radiohead there are admirers of Van der Graaf. Radiohead is undoubtedly one of the best bands of the 90s+ , but Van der Graaf is the best that ever happened to rock music. And they went far beyond ordinary rock music. If your into the deep emotional stuff like How to disappear you might care to check out House with no door Refugees Forsaken gardens and many more.
  • @NowForTheTruth

there something in National anthem which has some Van der Graaf elements, esp. the saxophone.

    Check out

Scorched earth and the whole Godbluff album

  • Waaa veru confindent to playn this song, hard to cover to say the least .. but she pulls it off

  • Unbelievable cover, absolutely amazing voice!

  • I didn't think someone could be so creative with a radiohead cover. Many have tried, and many have failed. Katie tried and succeeded.

  • i would be pleased to hear an entire album of radiohead´s covers all by her.

  • Not bad, I would've been ecstatic to be there. I believe she almost certainly understood the feeling of the first one but yeah...the orchestra was a touch that was clearly much better left out in the first one. Original > cover

  • good cover, but it lacks the inner power of the original...

  • i find this version to be nothing short of beautiful.

  • I love Katie Noonan, and i love that she's covering this song - it's one of my favourite songs of all time BUT there is waayyy too much going on for this song, the orchestra sounds over-complicated and messy... IMO.

  • and i betcha that she wishes she were thom.

  • @stonethrowingdevils

I initially read that as 'bet she wishes she wore thom'

  • Comment removed

  • @stonethrowingdevils I betcha that guitarist wishes he was a french connection player. I sure do.

  • i was expecting worse... not bad at all

  • 4:43 -..........Wow

  • cool

  • This really is quite good.

  • This is beautiful. I love how your voice isn't operistic, with that that thick vibrato, but rather sweet and smooth. Congrats. A great version of a beautiful song.

  • Who are you talking to? The person who posted the the video isn't Katie Noonan...

  • This is excellent, obviously the radiohead version has more emotion and always will do, but the orchestration in this is so beautiful, that harp at the begining starts the rotate slowly then speeds as the strings glide over it, so beautiful, I've been looking all over the net for a studio version of this with good sound quality but I can't find it, if anyone knows how to find one, that woud be amazing!

  • I disagree. Her interpretation was very ethereal. However, at the end of the day, I would listen to the original.

  • Probably the best cover for this song ever =)

  • if they are in australia how come they aren't upside down?

  • What?

  • yeah, like, Australia is below the equator, and here in my map its clear they should have their feet on the roof

  • lol, but why would you even post that here.

  • Please tell me this has been recorded and is available on iTunes.

    Absolutely brilliant...

  • yeah

that Depeche Mode song is truly great!!, altough I don't think they're gonna play it!

    cheers!

  • isn't it funny how different opinions can be about music? hah makes me smile. oughta be a good sign.

  • people criticising the arrangement are stupid. look at how this was recorded, on a camera phone or somthing by the looks of it. i predict that if you were in that room, and heard it how it was supposed to be, it would sound perfect. this almost beats the original, and i am a massive radiohead fan. (Y)

  • "recorded on a camera phone" hahaha

  • I dont get it.

  • I was there, it was just mind blowing. They really should have released this on CD or DVD

  • she has awesome voice!

  • Her voice amazing without a doubt.

But too much strings on the back.

Need some arrangements and it could be perfect.

  • Holly shit... this is damn good

  • is there a studio recording of this?

  • shutup!

  • wow you havn't quite grasped the idea of what a cover is have you?

  • Was it necessary to express your opinion on this video so many times? I think once would have sufficed. Radiohead are incredible musicians, noone doubts that. Katie Noonan is also an incredible musician, with a voice that is as technically brilliant as it is emotionally captivating. How about using your obivous proficiency in typing to write about how amazing radiohead are on a radiohead video. Oh and listen to george while you're at it, apparently Katie can write her own music...

  • holy shit what a rendition, her voice blew me away

  • I want to marry this woman...or maybe just her voice if the rest of her is not that in to me. GOOD GOD SHE CAN SING!!!

  • Holy hell...

  • mind blowing

  • fucking beautiful.

  • wow. that was a great cover.

  • Beautiful...my eyes welled up

  • an angel

  • amazing

  • I enjoyed the arrangement never heard of the maiden til today, impressive stuff however.

  • oh man

    what a voice..

  • This is so depressing that it almost makes me laugh. Mostly at myself since I feel that morose at times.

  • Little heavy on the cello, IMO, but holy crap what a voice.

  • amazing voice

  • I'm not here this isn't happening
