For a side-two track from an atypical REM album, this has become one of my top five REM tunes. Not sure why. It is just beautiful. Seems to put the the struggle of life into perspective. River. Light-years. The waxing and waning of years and bergamont and vetiver. Hay. And the river emptying into the ocean.

True story: the first time i listened to REM was when i found this album on top of my locker, not sure how it got there or whom it belonged to, but i still own it and its still one of the few perfect musical creations.
