  • If Sarah Haskins was in a movie, I want to know because I want to go buy the DVD and watch it immediately

  • I also want to marry Colin Firth!

  • hey what about breakfast at tiffany's, one of the best chick flickes of all all time?

And I said, "What about 'Breakfast at Tiffany's?'"

She said, "I think I remember the film,

And as I recall, I think, we both kind of liked it."

And I said, "Well that's, the one thing we've got."

  • No way, I'm marrying Colin Firth!

  • After watching this I looked up the trailer for "Happy Go Lucky" -- there's a British version and an American version. The American one DOES makes it seem like a quirky chick flick, so I can't say I'd blame someone unfamiliar with the film or Mike Leigh for getting the wrong impression. The trailer actually supports this series' points on marketing items to women, as an American studio tries to take a thoughtful and quiet foreign film and cram it into the chick flick marketing mold.

  • Generation Y the movie.

  • Happy-Go-Lucky is so far from a romantic comedy. It has comedy, but it's so psychological, especially the relationship of Poppy and her depressed driving instructor. Ok I'm sounding weird----just go watch it, it has none of those chic flick clichés. it's really lovely

  • That's a lotta Colin Firth.

  • Heck yeah I'm marrying Colin Firth!

  • Happy Go Lucky isn't a romantic comedy though?

  • i like to cry for fun lmao

  • The Accidental Husband was freakin creepy. The dude character is a total stalker.

  • I would marry Colin Firth.

  • happy go lucky is not a romantic comedy.

  • @navilamba but it IS a chick flick.

  • Mr. Darcy!

  • I think happy go lucky was a bit more deep than it's shown here. THe main character is highly unstable.

  • 1.popcorn equals dinner

    2. crying for fun

ha ha ha ha ha i really do that when i watch this films, except i don't really want to marry colin firth, never understood what so great about him,, i think he's a good actor, loved him in "the king speech"

  • Ok I have to disagree on 'Happy-go-Lucky'. yeah it's a movie aimed mostly at women. But it has none of the repetitive formulas that most chick flicks have. Yes Poppy meets a man but their relationship barely has anything to do with the story. In fact, the story is mostly about other characters reaction to her and her "different" approach to life which is basically non-pesismistic like everyone around her.

  • Colin Firth

  • Colin Firth! Of course Colin Firth :-)

  • Happy-Go-Lucky, is not a chick flick, AT ALL.

  • OK, I'm not saying this to start some big ass youtube argument but....

What the hell is Colin Firth's appeal? Yeah, the guy's a good actor (I guess...)but his physical attributes/personality are just meh. He's that guy who's not really attractive and you wouldn't have sex with him but not to the extreme point that you wouldn't settle for him, if you were desperate....

(Don't get upset fangirls, I'm a straight girl who just doesn't get it...)

  • @KinkyCreamPuffJ i agree, i guess since he's famous and might be nice in the movies (i havent seen half of his movies) ppl think he's hot but he's alright :/

  • @KinkyCreamPuffJ

I guess it depends on what your "type" is.

Personally... I find him incredibly handsome, and the fact that he's such a phenomenal actor (in my opinion) just adds to his attractiveness. :)

You're allowed to not be interested in him if you want, though. To each their own. ^^

  • It's nice to hear someone poking fun at consumerism without assuming they're sexist.

  • Host-Lady, you better back off!!! Colliekins is MY man!

  • Hey! I'm marrying Colin Firth too! :D

  • God daaamn, my mother was rabid trying to find The Accidental Husband... cinema at it's finest... *shiver*

  • Comment removed

  • I almost died when she said 'Friend-os'

  • I'm not so sure that "Happy Go Lucky" fits in with these other two movies...I watched it, and the ending was surprisingly dark and decidedly sobering. That being said, it's still a wonderful film and Sally Hawkins was fantastic.

  • Chick flicks can be nice to watch sometimes (for instance, I loved Happy Go Lucky), but most of the time they really really annoy me. They make it seem like the only thing single women every thnk about is dating, like we've nothing better to talk about, nothing better to do, that we're all boring and have no life. I'm single and happy that way, I don't need some guy to "fullfill" me or shit like that (and no, chick flick screenwriters, I'm not gay).

  • I just want to shout at that host woman: STAND STRAIGHT!!!

  • Colin Firth!!!

  • I love how despite Twilight being about a girl in love with a misogynistic, controlling, passive-aggressive "bad boy" 99% of all other romance movies are about the girl falling for a totally unassuming and nonthreatening man (aka Colin Firth).

  • hahaha colin firth!

  • And I know exactly who I'm going to marry:)

  • My hilarious group of friendos! :-D

  • I absolutely ADORE Colin Firth!!!!!

  • Mmmm. Collin Firth... Every girls wet dream.

  • COLIN FIRTH!!!!!!

  • Actually I did see Happy Go Lucky. The trailer was misleading because it wasn't a romantic comedy. It wasn't even about love, it was more about having a happy go lucky attitude in life.

  • im a guy & I find these almost as gut-busting as Viral Video Film School

  • @raddaluigi

The "I'm a guy and..." comment bothers me, and is especially ironic given the video series it refers to. It's not like only women think ridiculous, stereotyping ads are funny and you have to point out the opposite like it's some rarity. It makes it sound like women are only funny to other women, even if that may not have been your intention.

  • Yep, so true, all of those movies are exactly the same. That's why I don't watch them, don't like them.

  • "Colin Firth, Colin Firth, Colin Firth and Colin Firth" She is awesome!

  • You can have Colin Firth if I can have Mr. Darcy. ;-)

  • hahahah I know who exactly Im marrying & he's in movies lmao

  • amazing

  • i didn't even know that chick flicks dude's name until now. :))

anyways, i like to cry for fun too. xD i know i know, that's weird, oh well.

  • Oh my gosh if they come out with another dumb movie. Why are their actors who get paid more for acting then the people who actually do the stuff in "real" life. What kind of B.S. country do we live in!I could use that money to go to college and put my family through college and actually do it and not just act. Actors in hollywoood should not exists. They don't do anything but act! I mean what the freak!!!! There are people struggling to survive and these people have it made for doing nothing!

  • Yea, I agree with you. I think their wages or salaries can help pay off the national debt in the United States ^-^

  • I forgot about this comment I guess I was a bit angry that day. :o) But there salaries could definitely pay off the debt and more.

  • "Happy Go Lucky" is not a chick flick. Anyone expecting it to be similar to any of these other formula films she lumped it in with is in for a dreary, depressing movie night.

Still, I love what Sarah Haskins is doing and this is the first real error I have come across in her Target pieces.

  • I agree - I saw Happy Go Lucky, and although Poppy has a girlfriend and a love interest who could be straight from a chick flick, the main relationship seems to be between her and her obsessive, violent-tempered driving instructor. And the way that unsettling relationship affects Poppy is *not* chick flick material.

Besides that, I love these Target Women vids. They're wonderful!

  • yes, I have a feeling this clip was based solely on the trailers that were available at the time.

The Target Women vids are sublime.

  • I love this!! Watched all on here and haven't laughed this hard in awhile

  • hah! love this stuff.

  • actually there is non of that. but if you need help to understand any of it just ask and some could give u an extra hand

  • Thank you very much! I saw at your channel that you are from Argentina. Is Spanish your first language? If so, we can speak Spanish. And if you want to see the videos translated into Spanish just tell me. I'll tell you where they are.

  • Hey I'm marrying Colin Firth too!

  • Lol! Hilarious, and so true.

  • LMAO colin firth part at the end

  • LOL. i saw part of "the women" being filmed in NY

  • sarah haskins is hilarious.

  • Colin Firth would be lucky to have you!

  • the women was pretty damn awful....annette benning had some funny lines tho (all of them gender stereotypes, but I admit I laughed)

  • Yeeeeessss Colin Firth.

  • hey did anybody get a boyfriend at the end of the movie? No? A baby? Alright!

  • I think I'll become a career girl, if I'm gonna end up with Colin Firth...

  • gaaah! Colin Firth!

  • Haha yes! Colin Firth.

  • Awesome vid.

  • Lol Colin Firth... me too

  • I like colin firth. He's pretty awesome.

  • Why is ranking inactivated?

  • Unlikely suitor high-concept hijinks unecessary obstacle true love happy ending! I love this series.

The announcer dude at the end is intolerably shrill though.

  • mmm, Colin!! No gratuitous P&P shot in the mashup though?

  • COLIN FIRTH YAY!!!!

  • hahaha my mom loves clin firth ever since bridget jones...

my dad looks like a ugly version of him also...

    now im depressed....

  • ROFL!

  • genius!
