  • see (Advisory circular)AC43.13-1b section 5 where there are different types of dyes approved for aviation. thanks for the comments.

  • I though red dye penetrant are prohibited to use in aircraft parts causing or prone to corrosion....it is stated on the label that it is for industrial use... aircraft use the Flourescent type I , II , III

  • Read the ASTM A165, ASTM E 1417.

  • thanks for taking the time to comment, your observation is taken note of,  to have clear indications parts must be cleaned properly .

  • WRONG! Wipe in one direction only. After one wipes fold the rag never use a penetrant covered part of the rag to wipe more of the penetrant off of the part.
