  • wtf...is this?:s

  • fucking #RAD

  • hey did you know Christian Slater in this movie his skate double is rodney mullen

  • @MultiAnime1000 Are u serious? Coz some of the tricks he did in the movie looks to be coming from Mullen..

  • @zyonza123 yeah mullen was his skate double.. just watch the freestyle bit at the end.. its mullen in wig =D

  • Tony Hawk and Tommy Guerrero is actors in this awsome movie :D

  • Cool

  • Praise be to the decade that gave us Christian slater and New Model Army The two best things to come out of the 80's.....given an ultimatum though it would have to be New Model Army

  • "Then one day his brother died." Just, awesome. Best Trailer Ever.

  • I think I seen this before on tv lol

  • "...Then one day his brother died..." Thanks transworld mx im downloading this now

  • HAHAHAHA, what in the fuck is this?! Even funnier, all the people who are nostalgic for this shit. Everything was not cooler in the 80's, and definitely not sexier.

  • @musflo

Dude, the skate punk scene in the 80's was awsome! All my favorite punk bands came out in the 80's, now we got this fucking emo shit and sell out bands! There are still some good underground punk bands, monster trux for example a punk band that has skateboard gutars!!

  • Skate or die

  • @magGRE 720 Bees

  • "A Brother's Justice"

  • When I was a kid, I always wanted to drive Tony Hawk's Pizza Hut truck.

  • Damn this takes me back! I remember after seeing it going to the skate shop and getting a "VENOM" board with the fat truks! good times!

  • fucking weird??!! Way to go Christian! haha. HOTTIE

  • Silly movie, but I enjoyed it for two reasons: the actress who played Tina Trac was stunningly beautiful, and the final chase scene is one of the best action sequences filmed that decade.

  • @fader2011 still haven't seen it but my dad told me it was a good movie

  • @1996nfs - You're dad lied - It's utter shite!

  • 4 stars

  • This movie was the shit!! C. Slater's early stuff is soo underrated....

  • aghhh how i love christian slater :]

  • I was so pissed when he wrecked the black board 10 mins after building it lmao

  • i dont understand how the title connects with the movie.

  • @blingblingshineshine the title doesnt actually mean anything. it's literally a jibberish phrase some skater rambled off when he was drunk doing an interview with Thrasher magazine.

  • @StraytRayzorSymphony

Looking up a song that Thomas Dolby wrote for "Howard the Duck" led me here, somehow.

Random, I know, but after reading your comment and having a peek at your profile I figured that you would understand.

A lot of good memories on your page, bro.

    Thanks.

  • @lesterclaypool1 cool, man. glad u enjoy it. :)

  • please youtube 'the bike heist teaser' tell your friends, it is a film about bicycles and friendship. It should be funny and we need the support. Thanks so much

  • Then some Asian dude that keep saying he was his brother died

  • And his brother, Then one day his brother died x)

  • totally bodatious

  • earring. need i say more?

  • Dude, far out! This shit is rad!

  • Classic 80s skate movie

  • And then Brians skateboard became his weapon! haha

  • tubular

  • RODNEY MULLEN is the ´main skate double´ isn´t that epic?

  • Butthead: "Christians? Later, dude!" ahuh-huh-huh-huh-huh!

  • thrashin is gay gleaming the cube is where it's at.

  • Man, kids these days could learn a thing or two from this movie. Such as how to gleam cubes.

  • Tomy Hawk Pizza Hut Truck!!!!

  • THRASHIN' KICKS THIS MOVIE'S ASS!!! LMAO!!

  • Good movie back in those days! Sweet skateboarding stunts!

  • @fakeknife87 Yea, rodney mullin is the greatest skate boarder to ever live...he invented 90% of all the tricks used today. He is the original true street skater.

  • @TheGreenPlague what he was a flatland skater he wasnt very good at many tricks and creating 90% of moves is just not true many tricks there are now wernt even thought of then and he admits he isnt so hot on many tricks specialy on a half pipe hes the father of flat land a bad ass but that other stuff youre talking about is just bs

  • @champwagner basically all modern tricks are variations of his original ones. Don't school me on Rodney son. I'm too old for it. Even air based tricks.

He's a modest person in reality, of course he wouldnt accept responsibility...That's cause he's a class act, and the god father, whatever "new school" tricks you're thinking of, trace the roots first.

  • Wow you have know idea what your talking about. did you read an interview on rodney so you know all about him. Try talking to him about his skating. Most tricks are linked back to him. He paved the way for both street and modern vert. Many vert skaters said they took from rodney and put to the ramp. Everything has already been done at some point. Watch old hstreet or powell vids. And it all comes back to mullen

  • OMG that's Tony Montana's side kick Mannie from Scarface!!!!

  • Puahaha stunt man is rodney mullen :D

  • This was such an awful movie. I cannot believe I liked it so much. Well, I was 12 years old then and tastes evolve. It is one of those movies that are so bad, it's good.

  • does any body know if its on dvd?

  • @4jmari download and burn it... its 2011.... who buys cd's?

  • When I'm involved in the game of international smuggling, murder, and revenge, I tend to use my skateboard too.

  • @mattwu911 well me... my dirt bike

  • @mattwu911 LOL you put the whole movie in check. What a cheesy phrase.

  • yeahhhhhhhhh !

  • Many people seem to forget how GOOD bad movies can be. Some bad movies are horrible and unwatchable Other bad movies are awesome and fun to laugh at like this one , Killer Klowns From Outerspace, and especially Back To The Beach. Check that spoof out if you havent already. Although Back To The Beach was actually made goofy on purpose, like an Airplane movie.

  • @hootyhaha i wanna just keep givin you thumbs up for that shyat! more kids should know..it botheres me to .. the little missunderstanding fuckers!

  • no skaterboarder accually uses the term "gleaming the cube"

  • Haha. I watched this as a kid. So old school movie.

  • @xMarucsFenixX This movie is old school, it's cheesy, and all kinds of fun to watch and laugh at. But .. Tony Hawk could skate under a diesel.

  • @hootyhaha yeah and he could jump from a helicopter into a very ramp.

  • Happy 41st Birthday, Christian Slater!

  • HAHAHAHA GOD I LOVE THIS! XD

  • they shouldn't of made this trailer because it just shows the movie in less then 3 minutes but still a great 80's movie though

  • and then one day his brother died. pffffffffft hahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaa!!!!!! that was terrible! and the plot as explained in the trailer is pretty fucked up too. wow this is laughably bad...fucking christian slater...

  • hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

    derp di derp

  • Christian Slater did some badass movies in the 80's.

"Gleaming the Cube" "Little Wizard" "Legend of Billie Jean" 3 classic 80's movies.

  • German bearings, not Powell dummy, were the other common bearings other than Swiss.

  • RAD as fuck

  • "And Brian's skateboard became his weapon!" Wtf? The voice-over guy sounds cheesy as hell.

  • trailers back in the day...

  • It's like they give away all of the movie in the preview.

  • Santa Cruz & Powell Peralta Boards, Independent & Venture Trucks, Swiss and/or Powell Bearings, how could you not miss 80s skateboarding.

  • @webeducation The 90's had some dope skateboards. Particular the graphics. Toy Machines , Blinds... now all the skateboard designs suck

  • @neverwasapunk16 Gleaming The Cube was an 80s movie that had 80s skateboard designs.

But stuff was still cool up to the early 90s and stopped right around 1994. After that everything started to just mush together in a bigol boring grunge haze. You couldn't walk into a store anymore and see color, everything was burnt colors or vomit brown plaid.

  • great movie with great stunts. Christian slater looked so cute in this:)

  • Best Movie Ever!

  • They had this for like 2 bucks at the video store for their going out of business sale. I should have gotten it!!!!

  • whatever happened to christian slater?

  • @sugarrrsmack check out dolans cadillac on youtube movies. he's in it.

  • @sugarrrsmack You know there's a show called "whatever happened to...?"

and they talk about washed up celebraties..mostly from the 80s!

  • Comment removed

  • great movie..

  • Oh God, Rodney Mullen was 23 years old back then. He is eternal... Mullen ftw!

  • triesfries you fail dude,Mike Mcgill did the double in that film..though i take it many dont know about real skaters from the 80s.

  • Awesome! Sweet 80's. Everithing was better, cooler, sexier. Look at the world now- it's fucked up. I wish I could travel back in time.

  • The best part of this movie was Natas' ollie into the back of a truck.

And it was pretty funny seeing Tony Hawk try to act. That's about all I remember from this piece of crap. Oh! and the theme music! Sucked at the time but awesome in retrospect.

    "WHOA, WHOA! GLEAMIN' THE CUBE!"

  • I never heard of this his voice sounds the same wow

  • I watched this movie every chance I got 20 years ago. fuck yea

  • bring some butter because this is really corny

lol i actually like this movie it is one of the better holy wood takes on skateboarding

  • this movie kicks ass, dont apoligize

  • Dude, did Christian Slater do all these skateboard tricks by himself?

  • Nope. Double. Rodney Mullen did the freestyle parts, afaik.

  • how young was Rodney M???:L

  • Chessy as hell!!

  • Who wasn't cheesy during the 80:s? ;o)

  • @KOKID83 LOL!

  • then one day his brother died

    hahahahahahahhahahaha

  • @yellowfellow haha, that's great

  • I need to know the song he was listening to with headphones on while laying on the bed. Anyone know?

  • i think its circle jerks from the golden shower album

  • Thanks, this other guy said it was "right now" by Johnny rad.

  • no problem man

  • Haha what a lame trailer. I love it! 80s and 90s movies like this rule. Slater looks so young and this was AFTER Heathers?! That's what it says in the intro but I don't remember him looking that young in heathers.

  • When I was 11, 12 I loved Christian Slater, this must have been my third favourite film of his, after Heathers and Pump Up The Volume.

What was the name of the movoe he made around 89 which was all about Nintendo games and some competition him and his brother were in?

  • i did a lot more than once...

  • ea...!!!

  • rodeny mullen was slater's stunt double.

  • I used to watch this movie alot when I was younger. I liked Thrashin alot better. I think Tony Hawk was in this one though.

  • hi my dad used to skateboard and loved this movie his first skateboard was a vision jinx i am getting one with tracker trucks!

  • yup. he was driving the truck instead of skating.

  • watched this with my boyfriend, we laughed through the whole thing. this trailer sucks ass, but the movie is good for a laugh when you have nothing else to do. haha

  • WOW! the movie is a lot better than the comercial. this movie and rad r two of my favs though

  • One day, his brother died

    lmao

  • oh yeah! flatland caspers and freestyle! that's HARDCORE!

  • why'd they call it gleaming the cube

  • i like skateboarding and all, but this is fucking ridiculous!

  • Then one day his brother died.

  • There was only two things Brian did care for, his skateboard, and his brother

  • I love this movie... my friends and I used to play this drinking game where we'd watch Gleaming The Cube and every time an Asian stereotype occurred we'd take a drink.

  • I saw this when it came on USA in the afternoon a long time ago! Man, those were the good ole' years!

  • I want to see Gleaming The Cube so much. The videostores I go to don't have it. I will look in Walmart and Best Buy for "Gleaming The Cube" tomorrow.

  • go to ebay! The movie has been discontinued and you can only find it online.

  • Prime Rifftrax material here.

  • and if i remember right its called skate or die in sweden

  • they also changed the name in north america to something like A Brothers Revenge - weird how hollywood works.

  • iv got this film somewhere!
