  • sad very sad

  • The true sadness is that the America that built things such as this is already long gone and we now live in an age of concrete, steel and plastic where everything looks alike.

  • So sorry for everyone in the gorgeous Green Mountain state. I've been going up there for 20 years and visit the same places and have developed relationships with folks up there. My heart goes out to everyone.

  • The bridge is still there none of it was lost just the road up to it. It is a steel and concrete bridge with a wood top to make it look like a covered bridge.

  • Is it really completely gone! The last report I read said only a third of the bridge was lost. Please tell me it's not completely gone! This has just devastated me.

  • @PatrickRomSim It's still there, just.

  • this is heartbreaking. I moved away in 1996. This breaks my heart but I am more sad for the destruction of homes and property. Such a sad day for Vermont.
