I love Micheal he is my hero he is a optomist and a very encouraging man. He is a lucky man making a difference in peoples lifes. I love his two books i read them every day I am a huge fan and want to be a biologist he really encouraged me that I can do anything even if trails come my way. Thanks Micheal
i dont know how much oscars mj fox did get. mj fox is great, one of the last people who made some meovies with a message. i loved most of his films....but.... charlie sheen is to a heck of a funny guy, loved him in spin city and everything else he did. and i think its unfair to say he made a bad job just because mj fox played a chracter who was more beloved.
I dont think he ever won any Oscars, as that's for motion pictures. But he did win two Emmy's. This one of course, and then one back in the 80's for Family Ties.
He actually won three times just for "Family Ties" alone- 1986, 1987 and 1988. And he was nominated in 1985 and 1989. Before he was even thirty years old!
wow... it takes a lot for a guy so unfortunate to have the disease to step up and say; "I'm a lucky guy." nothing's gonna get Michael down, he's amazing!
For the person who wrote that he had PArkinsons disease while filming Back to the Future is FALSE. 22 years ago Michael was FINE. He filmed MANY movies after that and stayed on Family Ties for YEARS after that. His condition only really worsened in the last 7+ years if I'm not mistaken.
If you watch the original Back to the Future closely, as well as some Family Ties episodes from about 1985 on, you can occasionally see Mike's hands shaking. I guess you could put it down to nerves (or maybe low blood sugar), but that seems unlikely. He was a seasoned actor by then. The BTTF scene I noticed it in most was where he's filming Doc as Doc's talking about the time machine in the Twin Pines Mall parking lot. I even pointed it out to my mom, and she confirmed it, saying it was odd.
No, not symptoms, that's not what I'm implying. It's just an observation I made. However, as I said, whatever shake I perceived could have just been from nerves, low blood sugar or just simply being tired. He was maintaining a film career and TV career simultaneously, after all. I've known younger people than him who have tremors in their hands and don't have PD. As I said, it was merely an observation.
michael j fox has can sometimes control the diease. thats how he does some shows and movies like with back to the future he had pakrinsons disease then
I think what someone meant about having Parkinson's during Back To The Future is that, in Lucky Man Michael tells us he could've had Parkinson's for up to 10 years before actually being diagnosed with it. Therefore, he could have had it while filming BTTF but just not knowing it ;o)
Fox is AWESOME!!!! However, he did not win an Emmy in 2005.
