Phone Etiquette from "What Every Kid Should Know About Manners and Etiquette"

Good-Please get this to every child in the US now. Kids answer the phone and immediately hangup on me for no reason. They look at their caller id box letting it dictate what to do and all we are doing is verifiying an appointment their parents set up. The second they hear the name spoken the line goes dead. Theyy have a complete lack of care or compassion for anyone who has to work for a living. What if you kid had to do this kind of work or someone died and called? How in the hell wld you feel.

This is very good. Children today have no manners of ettiquete on the telephone. I work for a company that verifys appointments for their parents and they have seeked us out for this service. When calling the home to verify the appointment the kids all the time hang up on us or say UGGH and hang up. They are rude and disrespectful. I am not working for this company for my health. I have to for SURVIVAL. You will have to do the same thing just like me some day. How would you feel if I hung up.
