Vera just doesn't quite have the size to face some of the UFC true heavyweights.  Some of them he matches up well against and some of them he'll get overpowered when he fights. So the best thing he could do is to drop to 205.

did you guys not notice how Vera was not punching at all! We all know his hand was broken but sometimes you can punch with a broken hand and sometimes you cant...on Sat he couldnt. He was even trying elbows from range and Tim knew this...all he had to worry about was kicks and takedown...GAY!

do the math, If SYLVIA was any good the weight diffrence is already a factor for him to knock Vera or submit him... Sylvia has so much advantage over his opponents... height weight... but he jabs away... THATS SO SKILLFULL AND BEASTFUL huh... the smaller opponents has to chase him around to get a fight... think about it.. most of his fights are mismatches... but when he gets to fight a world class fighter arlovski, vera, couture... everyone sees the diffrence
