I believe that Otter wreck to be the MAF crash in which two of our pilots were killed not too long ago, looks allot like the type of flying and skill and scenery we experience at MAF but in many different locations all over the world - some of the most remote 'runways' and pathways get regular visits from our hardworking aircraft (Cessna caravans and various bush aircraft)providing a lifeline to the rural communities and missionaries who serve them.
interesting place for takeoff...def a nice and exotic scenery to see while taking off......looks like the jungle

Can't tell if the Caravan has really poor climb performance, or if it's just an illusion produced by the undulating terrain.

I think the crash you are thinking of was P2-MFQ, which crashed near Tabubil was in Papua New Guinea, not Papua.
