Crying, shiku shiku Reluctantly, shibu shibu Repeatedly, tabi tabi Just in time, giri giri Hara hara, nervous heartbeat Kira kira, glittering sparkle Chika chika, the flickering light of the stars Doki doki, the hammering beat of my heart I'm messed up, mecha mecha But you laugh, gera gera In the lightning, goro goro And your eyes, pika pika Kisu kisu by the river Gusha gusha, that flows so slow Zaa zaa, in the sound of the pouring rain Chiku chiku, when will I see you again?
When I have the occasional smoke in my back garden at night, I look at the trees beyond and invariably think of this beautiful haunting song because of the spotlit tree in this video!
Yes I third nepastropheda; I was all ready for something intellectual and/or ironic and I find myself almost in tears. The Japanese strings played over the tree, I have no idea why that is so moving. And seeing Shazna it's hard not to think of their relationship ending, more sadness.
That's so moving to see this video and listen to this amazing melody. Thank you Momus for so many years of musical joy. Please go on being the best genius in the whole world.
Well, it's almost as if Nick's writing songs again, after about a ten-year hiatus. I guess I'll check out Ocky Milk despite the last few unlistenable albums he's put out.
Some random thoughts... the video has a lo-fi Godley & Creme influence. You know, a la their "Cry" video. The scene of that tree at dawn looks like it's straight from Momus' "Tender Pervert" cover. Perhaps that is from the same stock of footage.
Momus is showing his age in this video. Usually he looks so youthful, but oh well, not a big deal. However, what's up with him using autotune (or whatever that sound effect is) when he hits those high notes? That's not right.
Momus has a talent of pointing out both rediculous and beautiful things in life, and this song and video are a perfect example. Heart-rending, but somewhat senseless... amazing.
in real danger of looking like a lo-fi version of that Godley & Cream video for Cry ....but song sticks to the littel grey cells and could easily be a "hit" ( we're absolute beginners, and we're ....)

Beautiful, A long way from Circus Maximus. I used to sell The London Evening Standard. And he used to walk past, but I couldn't talk to him. Genius.

Too beautiful. I second nepastropheda. Music to die to, but I refuse to die.

wow, the music is similar to a former Taiwanese singer Treasa Deng, but I like the video though.
