Trust I believe some stars are ufos in disguise. We were up on a mountain side kicking it and enjoying the view when we see a shooting star. The moment the star disappeared, this yellow light, a dot, moved left and right then in circles around where we saw it. No flashing lights like commercial crafts, and the glowing yellow dot wasn't even the same color as the stars. it wasn't a chopper or jet as they don't move that fast/slow/abruptly. It only moved and changed shape when we were looking.

Please address some things before being so certain.

1. The diamond shape could be the classic aperture/zoom phenomenon from so many videos.

2. Venus doesn't rotate visibly.

3. I checked: Venus/Moon were in that exactly that configuration on that date (courtesy Star Walk app).

4. The movement past the cables is exactly as it should be, resulting from the earth's rotation. It's moving east to west, at just the right speed. Check the moon in your raw footage, did it move along with the object?

PART2: As I was stating underneath it, it had a light that was dull that was coming from the clear ball. the clear ball it self was perfectly shaped and went inward into the craft . I believe it is Venus. It appears at sunset. For the shape changing, it's probally the focusing of the camera making it look like it is changing shapes. After a while it goes down just like the sun and moon. But I do believe their is something out there, so keep looking up my friend!

the cameras lens causes the light to seem to change shape, that's what happens when you zoom in. By the rate it is moving and from the flashing I would assume it's a sat.

ok - the change in shape is caused by the zooming of the camera. That happens all the time when you zoom in on a light far away. However the light does seem to be moving at a fast speed. Have you looked up where the ISS was on the night in question? Oh and for those comments saying it moved at a different rate to the moon so can't be a star?? Ummm, the moon orbits earth so moves at a different rate to everything else - Not saying it wasnt a UFO but I would look at other options first.

The diamond shape is actually your cameras CCD. Try focusing on any distant light source again and it will show up on your video again. It was actually the planet Venus but I am sure it got confusing when you zoomed in and seen the diamond shape.

Im sure i have seen other footage of the same kind of ufo (shape and colour) All i can say is nice job videoing it and keep your eyes on the sky, who knows you might catch it again or even other ufo's. also, planets are always much brighter than most stars. venus, mecury and jupiter are all extremely bright objects, brighter than any star (except sirius). venus is almost always hanging around the western horizon late in the after noon, just after sunset. and the fact that you zoom in is really unnecessary, I hope i dont have to explain why. and any celestial object is slowly going to drift through your shot, especially when zoomed in. its called ROTATION OF THE EARTH. stars are not static

I need the latitude, of where this was filmed, the exact time of day, and the direction you are facing( not as important because the moon is there and easy to find). if you really want to know give me the latitude, date, and exact time. Since 17th of July I am seeing exactly the same stars. At first I thought it was Venus but after prolonged observing I noticed that it was moving/ wobbling sometimes making wavy and circular movements.
