hello! this is Kimberly Doerfel, the fiddler. it was cool to see this posted. just wanted to let you know that the singer is "Angelica Grim" out of CA. the rest of us are from a little town south of Buffalo, NY. My older brother is 19 and is playing the banjo. i'm 17, the mandolin player is 14, the bass player is 13, and the guitar player is 12. We do plan on going to the state comp. Thanks again!

These "KIDS" were great, the oldest was around 17, (the girl fiddle player), and they were in a competition for vocal band, the young lady singing is Amanda Grimm (I THINK is her name?) was not part of the Dorkle Family, although they played and sang with her in the competition, she was first runner up, and the Dorkle Family won, and they can go to the state comp. They are all from New York, and all are very talented and were very well liked by the judges and won the competition.
I couldn't see that they were so young from the vid. They are very tasty and very restrained, a quality that's somewhat unusual in young musicians. Glad I came back for another listen, they are really good.
Heard this young group of musicians , many times
and they are as nice and as polite as
they are talented !!!

Since I originally saw this video I have bumped into her, Angelica Grim, and she is an incredible singer. She's from California.
