No, wownorskrogue, season 3 was during the writer's strike. If the writer's strike hadn't occurred, it would have been 22 eps like all the others. Good eye though!

This song works so well for Supernatural... but Season 3 was by far the weakest season. Seasons 1 and 2 were great, but they started to slip; maybe that was the fault of the writer's strike, maybe that was the fault of the actors... who knows?

All I know is, so far Season 4 has more than made up for Season 3. All of the new plot developments we've seen from Season 3, plus the creativity and humor we saw in seasons 1 and 2.

I can agree about season 4. Season 3 had many problems in that the writer's strike cut it short 6 episodes so they had to wrap everything up pretty quick after lengthening out the storylines in the first 12 episodes. Despite its weaknesses, last year and this year Supernatural is one of the best shows on tv, definately up there with lost. And this song is a highlight for me!
