  • The Abilene TX High School A Cappella choir premiered "She Walks in Beauty" in Kansas City in 1953. I was in the choir; Gene Kenney was the conductor. David Foltz was in the audience. It was a choral conductors' conclave of some sort. We were a featured choir, and we sang a couple other things, too. Afterward, people came up to us and asked, "Are you really a high school choir?"

  • Boy that pitch fell off immediately. Gorgeous sound, but extremely FLAT.

  • We sang this in ensemble at Audubon last year, and I loved it! We only had two basses and four tenors and like 20 girls lol.

  • Wonderful! I too sang this with my high school choir, exactly forty years ago. I have looked for a copy, either in print or online, for years. And here it is! This a fine piece of piece music, and your superb choir does it justice indeed: an extremely musical reading of an extremely musical piece. Thank you!

  • I also sang this in another lifetime and always loved it. Who composed the music, please?

  • We sang this at Glassboro High School and hearing this arrangement again brings back memories. I sang the Tenor part. It was one of the chiors favorites.

  • I have been looking for this arrangement for a long time. Our high school choir sang this back in the 60s and 70s. To me, it is the loveliest. Thanks for posting!

  • Beautiful
