Is this phone good because i am getting it next week and i have looked at all the reviews and all but some say it is great and some say different. is it easy to text with? is it a fasionable phone? how good is the camera? is it hard to acess your contacts and address book and emails and texts? You need to subscribe to a data plan for this phone to work - normally its about 30 bux a month -- they keyboard takes some getting used to but it is pretty easy once you get the hang of it

i love the pearl i have one and yes it is easy to text i can do it without looking and get like 98% of the words rite and usually it would auto correct it for you so its a real great phone to get anf the browser is amazing its just like a normal compuer!!

the cam is tight. you can stop and restart recording. send video by bluetooth or im and email. Its a web site called blueapple.mobile that is simular to youtube. when you go on their you will see the same videos and you can even save them to the pearl.

if your planning on getting the pearl, or any blackberry for that matter, on verizon, the data plan is MANDATORY. unfortunatly that means an extra 30$ a month. That is why i changed over to ATT. I think its a better service, ive never really liked verizon much

VERY solid. my dog got at mine, and showed part of it, and it still works fine. I've dropped it DOZENS of times, sometimes hard. no prob. The track ball can get stuck, kind of like a mouse, but all you need to do is pop the little cover off, and blow, and you're as good as new.

I don't know...what do you like? They all have different texting methods. The pearl has about 2 letters per keypad, the rumor has 1, and the muziq has 3. Then again, the rumor also has 3 if somehow you prefer to text like that.

I disagree about the kewboard. If you're going to have a qwerty keyboard, each button might as well have it's own button. I think it's pointless to have a qwerty keyboard and have every two letters on one button.

when space is more important I think it's perfectly fine to double up the letters. As long as the SureType is smart enough to keep up with my texting/emailing. I hardly get the wrong word typed in on my Pearl. but it's not perfect. I mean the Curve is great, but it's so much bigger. I like my phones how I like my ladies, thin and skinny :P

No. Did you actually read my comment? This is not the Pearl 2. This is a revised original Pearl with a 2MP and updated RIM OS.
