Fair enough. You might fight with me but still, the comment I was referring to is down. I have no problems with you or your way of making coffee. It's just that people from outside Italy may know how to make coffee too, and to deny them the right simply because of their extraction is BS.
Have a nice day and a nice coffee, anyway. Seriously.
dude, ur mokka pot is so poorly maintained, it's a true wonder it still produces a decent espresso... firstly, pour water up 'till the lower edge of the safety valve... secondly, u ought to remove the excessive amount of coffee until there's not a single grain on the edges of the funnel, otherwise the rubber gasket will not last...
@bootsie60 And being Italian you have the copyrights for coffee making? As far as I know coffee doesn't even grow in Italy, coffee making was not invented there, so stop being a douche. You like your coffee and that's fine, but your preparation is sloppy and not quite safe. Suck on it.
@szyroki do youy have some problems? look for a doc dear coffe expert...you need it. Make your coffee in your favourite way, i really dont care...you are not obliged to follow my rules. I love my coffee and even is not quite safe never is happened to my moka, so you dont be so stupid to tell me what its better or not.
At least never heard poland is famous for his coffee...
@bootsie60 Poland being famous or not is not the issue, which you clearly don't see. I was referring to your self-important comment on how funny it is that people from other countries may have something to say about coffee making. So the only problems I have are with this kind of douchey comments.
Even though modern coffee making is heavily influenced by the Italians, it doesn't automatically grant all Italians the right to act as the living repositories of all coffee-related knowledge.
@szyroki man dont have so many time to spent following your philosophical thought about italia influences about coffee.
Maybe you clearly dont see that title of this movie (made for a foreign friend who wanted to know how to use moka and thats all) is "Making of a perfect italian coffee" than the unique funny thing here is that you say that i have "all coffee-related knowledge".
At least im talking about making coffee in italy and not fot the whole world.
Nice work, we liked your video very much so we embedded it on ChefCommons . com w/ link back and reference to Youtube. (Let us know if you don't wish for it to be featured)
i'm guessing this is for making only espresso, right? If so i have 2 questions: does espresso coffee come in flavours? Also how many spoons of coffee if i want it medium? i.e not too string, not too light?
an espresso is a small quantity concentrated extraction of coffee achieved by passing water through the coffee at a very high temperature. Espresso coffee makers are those machines that run on electricity at cafes and restaurant. Although the method shown on the video can make strong coffee, it cannot be regarded as espresso because it does not use high enough pressure. Espresso shot is 30mL, a long black coffee is espresso shot + boiling water.
That is definitely a well-seasoned pot! Interesting technique. I'm surprised you don't have problems with the seal by leaving all the coffee grounds around the rim and filling past the safety valve - but obviously it works for you. Good job!
When I use my moka pot the coffee turns out cloudy with a lot of sediment. What am I doing wrong? I must pour it through a paper filter before drinking....too much trouble. Help!
I have sent links to your video to several people. I have a Primula made in Venezuela, guess it keeps Hugo Chavez goin' . The song goes round and round in my mind whenever I see the pot. Well done video...Thanks for posting!

If he's using a relatively coarse grind his Moka won't explode. But the general rule of thumb is FILL TO THE MIDDLE OF THE SAFETY VALVE.
