@thekidx69 It's not a 2000XL. That model is grey and laid out differently. In fact, it doesn't look like any MPC's that I know of. I think it's a mock-up to look like some MPC, but it isn't actually one.
@VincentsVideoVisions no buddy, its an mpc trust me, They 2000 or 2000xl was not only made in gray either. You can also get them custom painted and skinned too. Its layed out exactly like 2000 or 2000xl as well, - pads on right side, tilted screen on left top, and nob between the pads and left hand slider and control functions. Pause at 0:22
@thekidx69 The 2000 was only made in grey. The XL had a special edition that came out in a blue color. Could be a skin but that doesn't explain the different color wheel, nor the screw holes on the side in spots that don't correspond with the XL. It also doesn't seem as this as an XL. The screen looks like it's in the middle and I don't see the fader that should be on the left. I had a XL for years and this doesn't look like one to me.
@VincentsVideoVisions thers also an orange and a special edition abstract one that pete rock still uses. Besides the screw placement it stll looks like a 2000xl. the camera angle doesnt help either., so the screen does look like its directly above the pads, but its not.
@thekidx69 it's not a "real" mpc. it is a prop for a commercial, that's why the screen isn't on, and that's why it isn't laid out like any mpc. you can easily tell that it's not real.
None of the mpcs I ever looked at has the data wheel on the left side and the screen on the right. Plus the style looks like it would be a 2500 because of the screen in the middle. I guess so they wouldnt advertise akai they decided to make one that looks similar.
You guys are all wrong.. It's not the 500, 1000, or the 2500.. The only one it could possibly be is the 2000XL.. but I'm not sure that it is. Think maybe it's fake or something...
