  • Wow this is an amazing looking dragon! Come check out my guy!

  • @Enner63 sure go ahead but be warned they are difficult to take care of. I would suggest a leopard gecko, or of you want a little bugger to play with and to hol get a bearded dragon. They make better starter reptiles.

  • I want one of these but im not sure if i should get one because ive never had a reptile and at my local petsmart it says there "intermediate" pets to take care of. so i was wondering if i should start with this or something else. Thanks!

  • @Enner63 I had a Water Dragon for my first pet and it worked out great. They are wonderful pets.

  • Now I want a Chinese water dragon lol

  • He looks sick !

  • how old is the lizard?

  • wow really you are a good kepper...he looks great. helthy and beautifull....wish all the luck of the worl for you and him :)

  • NOm nom nom i love worms!

  • Wow! he's beautiful! I always thought my first reptile would be a corn snake but now I don't know whether I should get a lizard/gecko, too.

  • nice looking dragon bud iv just finished a viv for my dragons, vid is on my youtube page have a peep let me know wot u think

  • ... I want a water dragon now lol.

  • mmmmmmm cruncheh

  • for some reason i enjoy watching it enjoy its meal

  • *crunch crunch crunch crunch*

  • It's Reptile from Mortal Kombat!

  • hes like GET IN MY BELLY!!!!

  • feed him that little green bastard from those stupid ass Geico commercials!

    THAT WOULD BE COOL!

  • Also...a forty gallon tank is NOT okay for an adult. My enclosure is about three feet tall, four feet long, and two feet wide and that still isn't big enough. He does okay in it, but I have to take him out frequently because it's not quite enough room anymore.

  • definitely don't get a water dragon for your first reptile. They're really high maintenance and tend to get sick if you're not experienced at keeping heat and humidity levels right. I would do a lot of research first and get a beardie. I know from experience...I have a water dragon and he was an impulse buy. It took a lot of learning and a few vet visits to keep him as healthy as he is.

  • @Aqakroete45 Yup, its pretty awesome

  • @nichannon96 Hey im also a beginner and i've already had 2 chinese water dragons. One i saved from the pet store cause half its tail was gone, and one healthy one. Both of them were very nice lizards to have but both of mine werent very healthy (not from me, the pet store) . I'm getting a bearded dragon soon. A lot of people say that beardies are pretty easy kept, as long as you have the tank set up properly and feed it as needed. I'd say get a bearded dragon, but its your choice.

  • hsould i get a chinese water dragon or a bearded dragon before and also i have never owned a reptile before

  • Wow looks awesome :D...

  • can it spit fire?

  • those things look so fucking cool lol

  • do they bite

  • @awesomegamer21 nay. olny if you abuse them. but when u get them as babbys there usualy very scared and flighty but tame out with age and can become ery calm around you and will even walk up to you if there hungrey like mine does!

  • @awesomegamer21 Depends. It may accidently bite u if you hand feed them.

  • @Florey96

I never tried hand feeding my wd, he likes them to move around as he grabs them and shakes them around then swallows. lol

  • i knew it, Dragon doesnt have Wings. xD

  • AWESOME DRAGON! WHERE DID U GET HIM

  • /watch?v=4Kxh2wlFz3w&feature=channel_video_title

  • what heat sources are u using?

  • he has lame coloring..... should see mine

  • I was hoping for a fire-breathing dragon...

  • It's not a fire-breathing dragon...

  • nicee! i think the calcium worms must be makin him look super green and healthy!

  • beautiful dragon :)

  • 0:34 mmmmm

  • how old is your water dragon?

  • Awesome!!! Say, how old was your dragon when you could tell it was male?

  • NOM NOM NOM

  • can he spit fire?

  • @070erwin Yeah havent you seen them? All the smoke comes out their ears and they spit fire, its really hot but it doesn't last very long, its an amazing experience but you need to piss it of heaps for it to do it.

  • @AussieHerps holy shit!!!!!! XDDDD

  • looks very loved and cared for! great work!

  • lol, yo lizard is cute i love all cwd but i love mine especially :]

  • Those mealworms don't look too large lol..

  • what kind of a cage do you keep him in? my water dragon is starting to outgrow his old cage, and we are trying to see what kind of cage to get him. he is about 3 years old, and 26 in. long.

  • Hes eating your fingers? :D

  • @440876 sometimes wrapping somethin around the enlosure will help ur dragon feel more secure...then it will start to eat more often and be less picky...and as it gets older start takin the wrap off more often like a couple times a day so that it can see you and understand what goes on outside and get used to the sounds. i just taped paper together and wrapped it around my enlosure and after 2 weeks Razor (my dragon) started eatin more often and got used to takin crickets right from my hand

  • im considering one of these. how big do they get? i have an anole. my moms exact words are "If it needs a leash we're so not getting it".....yeah shes not keen on reptiles lol. also were did u get those tweezers? theyre pretty big and they look plastic. i would like that. i only have normal tweezers. u know the small one ppl might use to i dunno pluck eyebrows? o.o'

  • @NinjaFox97 It depends on the gender. Males can get about three feet long. Females, about two feet. They are impossible to tell the gender of, though, when young, so it's a guess unless you want it probed or something by a vet...All juveniles look female, though.

  • Are chinese water dragons good starter pets?

  • @lizardman957 errr yh if you reseach before getting it and most reptiles as long as your do your research and get there encoscure setup and make shore its perfect

  • thats a healthy looking lizard

  • his got cool looking eyes

  • sometimes wrapping somethin around the enlosure will help ur dragon feel more secure...then it will start to eat more often and be less picky...and as it gets older start takin the wrap off more often like a couple times a day so that it can see you and understand what goes on outside and get used to the sounds. i just taped paper together and wrapped it around my enlosure and after 2 weeks Razor (my dragon) started eatin more often and got used to takin crickets right from my hand

  • i just got a chinese water he is about 7 inches i have a question my lizard grew up to crickets butt now he wont eat them do you know why

  • @Robster2456 He might be tired of them. Do you offer a variety of insects, fruits and veggies? Mine love crickets, red worms, wax worms, meal worms and houseflies. He also loves his squash ans cantaloupe.

  • he has really pretty eyes lol

  • my dragon likes apples. And bugs of course ;)

  • oooo let me have him!

  • My cwd just got darker. Out of no where he is a darker shade. What does that mean?

  • @theone859 i think it means his health anit that great im not 100% sure.

  • if you guys worry that your water dragon(s) is not eating, its not a bad thing. They are trying to figure out whats going on - where they are - and what is the plan next. It will take them some time for them to get used to the new habitats, if they don't eat for like 1 whole day or even 2 its fine, they should start eating when they're too hungry. They will start realizing that they're living with you and will accept things.

  • is it okay to keep 2 water dragons in 48" in length and 24 " in depth48" in height (inch) VIVARIUM

  • @djtiestops3 be careful keeping young dragons together, the males will usually bully the females even if they are not at a sexual mature age, it will take all the females energy away and may end up not growing properly because all its energy is going towards producing eggs

  • how old is ur water drogon in this vid

  • mine did the same thing for about a week dont wory its just there way of ajustin to the sarounding

  • i have such a water dragon as a pet...named bitzy!

  • HEY guys i just bought 2 water dragons after doing a lot of research and for some reason they arent eating they do move around and go in the water but pleasE!!!! someone message or comment back on this and tell me ideas to get them to eat thanks!

  • you just bought them ? how long ago ?

give them some time to relax en let them get used to their new habitat

  • Your guys are showing signs of new tank syndrome, and until they are much larger like this beautiful guy they arent liable to let you see them eating.

But, new tank syndrome they are usually lethargic and dont eat for a week or so.

  • Could be many reasons... what are you feeding them? They may not like what is being offered. Try offering something different and see if they respond to that. Wax worms are a real treat for them and I would be shocked if those were refused. Feed them wax worms SPARINGLY. They are high in calcium, but also in fat, and they will get fat very quickly if you feed too many. Also lighting, temperature and humidity are very important. If they don't start eating soon, I would take them to the vet

  • And plus water dragons are solitary animals. Don't be surprised if they fight.

  • You have to get them used to you as babies, once they're used to you, they'll ride around on your shoulder and stuff.

  • can waterdragon get along with 2 other bearded dragons? because i already have 2 juvenile bearded dragons and im thinking of getting a water dragon in the same tank (the tank is pretty big) but i dont know if they will try killing each other :/

  • erm...in the same tank? idk i read that water dragons are pretty aggressive toward other reptiles. I was researching when I got Link(my w.d.) and it said they would kill another lizard....so maybe not..i'm no pro though..lol

  • @humptybon no, you cant mix the two. (iv worked at a pet supplies plus for 4 years in the animal depot.) the beardies are a dry dessert climate, and only need misted once or twice a week...the water dragons are tropical and need to be kept over 50% humidity and misted once or more a day. along with a deep water bowl for bathing. the beardy shouldnt be too deep or risk drowning

  • ahh ok thanks are there any other lizards different to bearded dragons that i could keep in the same tank with my 2 hatchling bearded dragons?

  • @humptybon a Uromastyx would get along fine with a beardy (look them up, if you dont already know what they are, they are pretty cool)

  • How can I make my CWD bright?

  • What a fat fuck lol

  • there not aggressive.

  • Nom nom nom nom.. LOL very nice looking lizard..

  • you can pick them up-mine doesn't really like being picked up but i'm sure when they get use to being picked up you can have them rest on your arm and stuff

  • That thing is cool bro. Been wanting one for months now. Me first pet (and still going strong) an ornate horned frog but water dragon appear to be best choice for snakes, frogs, lizards. CAnt wait to get one.

  • dude we ran out of food for our water dragon so my brother went outside and got a bunch of salamanders he ate those...that we decided to look for a frog we found about a four inch frog and our lizzard like the same size if smaller the one in this video devoured it

  • well waterdragons get 80cm long easily...

  • will your baby cwd die if the cage is to big?

like a 55 gallon tank be good?

  • A large enclosure is never bad for a reptile, if anything it gives him more room to grow. Household repitles generally grow to the size of their enclosure. My friend has a Green iguana and he and his dad built there own large cage so the iguana would have more room to grow.

  • But sometimes they are frightened of an enclosure thta is too large, they prefer smaller enclosures to feel secure.

  • Lizards never dislike more territory. They are terriotiral creatures, and the more room they have to move around the better. The dimensions i'm gonna go for when I get my dragon is 6 (height) x 3 (width) x 6 (length

  • if it has orange behind its front legs its a boy the girl dont have the orange color at least that is what my book says

  • when they r young they will but i think it is becuase the r tryin to adjust but they dont when the r about full grow unless u piss it off or sumthing lol

  • look at its hind legs on the bottem and if you see little line looking things its a boy if you dont its a girl

  • Do they tail whip like iguanas? I got a beardie & love it beacuse they're so mild mannered

  • 40-60 bucks

  • kuluka8 , thats not true mealworms are more of a treat food

  • how big do they grow look at my bearded dragon videos btw

  • mine doesnt wanna eat those gross things, but he loves crickets! but mealworms are more healthy for them

  • man, i cannot wait til i get off of deployment to get mine!

  • how much do they cost

  • i gave 59.00 for mine she is a female named mouse they are awesome to have

  • at petsmart in my city they r 39.99

  • here 29.99 :DD

  • i purchased mine a week ago for 24$ but i got a good deal on it. little thing is hyper as hell. i named it Odysseus.

  • I love Chinese Water Dragons....I'd love one, but I've nowhere to put a viv of that size.

I will hopefully get one in the future, but for now, Orion, my rankin dragon, will keep me happy.

And I loved the expression of content on his/her face when he/she snapped them up. Reptiles are just gorgeous.

  • thing that sucks for me is..its winter time for my little buddy and hes not eating much and is loseing his greenish glow.. It makes me feel thers somethin wrong with it but thers not...dont know what to do...help?

  • You need to really make sure his cage is kept at least 80 degrees or hotter...do whatever is necesarry to make that happen. Basking light and special heaters. It's not easy, I know.

  • Uggabugga5545... purple is just another colour that they may get on their crest when they get older my girl is starting to get it i think it looks good! its nothing bad or to worry about.

    Gorgeous dragon ya got too!

  • ive held two of them before

  • How big is his cage?

  • his cage is 6ft by 6ft by 2ft !

  • how did you get the calcium to stick to the mealworms? I can never get it to stick to them.

  • when a water dragon gets purple under his chin thats a sign of him being pissed or like does anyone knows what it means liek for sure what it means

  • no it aint, who ever told u that is talking shit

  • too much calcium dude
