the ending reminds me of Saw I, when Jigsaw shuts the door and leaves him to die. Ill be having nightmares about this for weeks though.. really liked it

i already knew what was going to happen at the end because someone had told me, but despite that, i actually kept thinking that it would end with him getting out... the film made you feel exactly like he felt.

i couldn't watch it again, it was great but was devastating as well

Yeah....got to the end of the movie and it really does blow. Ryan Reynolds should have not taken the role, the movie should not have been made, etc...the smart money is on this video rental coming back with plenty of time to spare!! Again, the movie sucks. Do not see it..

@TTIME55440 - It's devastating alright but people should make up their own mind. Not everyone feels the same way. And R.R. is a truly inspiring actor and does the role justice. It's a very smart movie though it may not be for everyone.

This movie blows..Ok, your buried in a coffin in the desert and you got a lighter, cell phone, and limited oxygen. Now, I never went to college but I think most anyone would be smart enough to know you use the cell phone for light and not the lighter. Fire consumes oxygen, you see..

Honestly this is a really good suprisng film but i still wish there was an alternative ending to it. i was kind of pissed of knowing that he doesnt get rescued at the end but its nice to see a different ending in a film for once . And great acting !

I don't understand why everyone is so mad at the end! I personally loved it! I mean come one what was supposed to happen: people coming to his rescue, finding him, suddenly he sees light, tears of joy and blablabla!! At least with this end I was completely surprised for once and it gets pretty rare these days when you cannot tell from the beginning how it is going to turn out! Great movie all along!

I just watched this movie yesterday and it completely astonished me, it so terrific, finally some directors come up with good ideas, many thanks to Rodrigo Cortés and Ryan Reynolds for this terrific movie.

@Auricdeath it's a more tough and smarter film than some modern thrillers. The script forces you to think about many issues about our world. It's hard but worth watching it.
