  • all the tonguing stuff is amazing.....well done and i love the tone of the soloist~~

  • Clarinet German System(Muller).

  • it's published by Carl Fisher -- I think this is the Jeanjean version.

  • Can u send me solo part pls pls?? ^^

    My email is 6ui11@iol.pt

  • Was the Bass Clarinet @ 5:40 suppose to be puffing his cheeks???

  • AMAZING! The clarinetist has an absolutely stunning sound, and they made a incredibly challenging piece sound effortless. What type of clarinet is that? I read in previous notes that it has the German keysystem but what's the model? Definitely not a Buffet, right?

  • this is crazy good, can you send me the solo part as well? i would like to play this for my senior recital next semester.

  • Would you be willing to send this piece to me? I'm looking for a piece to do a recital on. Thanks so much.

  • who is this band?

  • I think that he can better :P

  • If anyone has the solo sheet music to this piece, could you please send it to me please? Just post a comment on my profile. Thanks =)

  • suchhh a good tone

  • Are you still sending out the solo part? I'd love to play this too :)

  • I bought my copy from sheetmusicplus. It is acrobatics for the clarinettist-you have been warned!

  • non si sente un cazzo....

  • tang ina galing mo

  • what type of clarient is that?

  • I believe he is using a Oehler Style Clarinet. They are more commonly used in Germany.

  • @ItsallaboutTrevor It could be a clarinet in a slightly different key, they are normally in B flat and it looks like it could be an A flat clarinet.

  • @Lukozade123 Its an A clarinet, but its an Oehler style.

  • SQUEAK!!!!

  • Amazing <3

  • Thats ME right there

  • - F.F.O.C. -

    Fucking Freak of Clarinett

  • He is the Clarinet God.

  • The soloist is fantastic. I wish I could play like that. Whoever that is...

  • this guy is really amazing!!!! GREAT JOB!!!!

  • Very good , 5+ Thanks.

  • very nice on the clarinet:)

  • i love how the screen is behind the director. good job to the player though!

  • beautiful :)

  • nice job!!

  • I that he squeked at that high note but he reminds me alot of me!!! B/c I can do all that just I have to squek once b/c I weird...

  • May I get the solo part for this music?

  • Nice performance! What group is this. If it's Austrian, he's probably playing on a Hammerschmidt. If German, a Wurlitzer.

That video screen behind the band is distracting, since it's about 1/2 second behind the performance.

  • it looks german to me

  • at 6:20 is he tounging every note or slurring then tounging on each beat?

  • -TOP SECRET-

This guy was sometimes seen in GASTHAUS STERN in ARZL.

  • Still the best interpretation, even though there are a lot more videos posted now of the Carnival of Venice played on clarinet. Tomibk, what reed are you using?

  • It is probably an old system clarinet (Different from the 'Boehm' key system that is standard now)

  • this is german keysystem! like all of the berlin and vienna philharmonics are playing, watch the newyears concert od the VPO and u will see! Its used in germany and austria generally!!

  • It looks like an oehler key system, which is still used in Germany and Austria, among other places

Besides Boehm and Oehler, the only other major key system is the Albert system (or "simple system") also still used in German-speaking countries and also in Eastern-European folk music, New Orleans jazz, and klezmer

  • What type of clarinet is he playing on where there is only two keys for the right-hand pinky.

Amazing tone, rubato, and musicality overall!!! Wonderful performance!

  • would you be willing to send me the solo part?

I am in high school and I would love to play this with my band eventually.

  • your email?

  • I sent you my email through the youtube mail system.

Your tone and technicality are incredible. Very good.

  • Please send it to me too.

  • or maybe an audio delay im not sure =|

  • look closely between 1:45 and 1:51 he breaths but it still is playing. thats lies you put an audio over a video you evil person

  • I'm in the seventh grad and i got this piece for a solo. it really is fun to play, i have a piano accompanist and it doesnt really sound that good with the clarinet and the pian but i still love it!

  • does he have his clarinet turned a little in the middle?

  • AWESOME!!!

  • Haha... that looks like Bill Clinton in the back on the bottom right corner around 5:17!

Don't care too much for the piece, but the playing is pleasant. Nice control and even keel demeanor.

  • How can u get into the Clarinet and Wind Orchestra???

  • how can i sound this good at clarinet?

  • AWESOME...can you gave me the solo part???

  • Wonderful playing.

    -Andrew Short

  • hes useing a german key system, cool i thought about purchasing one of those but i wanted to play so badly i didnt care i just wanted a clarinet. even though i had the chance of purchasing a second one i still went for traditional system

  • sound comes first then comes video, it's simple because when the sax player makes the mistake the guy on the left has an expression which comes after the mistake...i have the score and i see that he is really playing it same notes and fingering, otherwise nice playing xxx..

  • it is a clarinet player, not a sax

  • when the SAX player makes the mistake ! ! !idiot, i mean the sax player in the band !

i know it's a clarinet player , i've been playing the clarinet for over 10 years

  • The mistake was the Bass clarinet...and the Sax player laughed... and it was a G-Arpegio (G-B#-D) for the Bb clarinet.(It sounds :F-A-C)

    Greets Tom (soloist)

  • nice job btw ;) really love it, i'm searching a band to play it with =) x

  • you would know what i mean if you looked the whole video , than you'll hear that there is a sax player who makes a mistake and there is sitting an older guy 2-3seats on the left of him which makes the expression

  • 6:36 the mistake of the saxplayer and at 6:39 the expression from the guy at the left ;)x

  • yes, there is a mistake, but i´m not an idiot, i am a simple person like you, so sorry, i play de clarinet for 11 years, and the first thing i notices is D note in the begin, when he does D arpegio (or C in clarinet),

  • His is German style

  • hey wow. dude. Thats was good. BIEN HECHO

  • You can visit this virtuosi sometimes

    in Gasthaus Stern/Arzl.

  • can you gave me the score?????

    if you can of shore

  • Sajnos csak magyarul tudom leirni csodálatos tiszta technika nagyon gyönyörű hang egyszerüen fantasztikus GRATULÁLOK !!!!!!!!!

  • Schöne Wiedergabe!

    Gruss aus Frankreich

  • Correction: The version played here appears to be an arrangement by Eibl (incorporating elements from Jeanjean, Giampieri et al.) with some very nice improvisation from the clarinetist himself.

  • Outstanding playing, expressive while virtuoso. Contrary to an earlier comment, it's not the Giampieri version he's playing, it's Jeanjean's version (or perhaps a modified version of it). You can hear the Giampieri version played by that Korean wunderkind, and another Jeanjean version played by a clarinet trio, on youtube by doing a simple search on "venice clarinet".

  • is that a german system clarinet?

  • w w w . musik-innsbruck-arzl . at

  • I cant stop listening ahhh. He does it so well.

  • But this guy is really technically superior.

  • This is probably one of the singularly most impressive displays of technical prowess I've ever witnessed. Seriously.

My only complaint is the band...lol. (I'm sorry if that sounds really bad, hahaha, but they're lightyears away from matching this guy's skills)

  • How would you know? What if this guy is a guest artist?

  • There is an empty chair where the principal clarinet should be sitting, so my guess is that he is just principal of this ensemble.

  • i love the squeak in the beginning

  • What's with the cadenza from Light Cavalry in the middle?!

  • thats what I said too :P

This was nice though, so no complaints about it :D

  • Actually, I just looked at the music, and that is actually written in... but my version is different... though I wish I had this one

  • What version is it?

  • Give me your email, i will mail you the solo part if u want to.

  • can u give me the solo

  • Give me your email, i will mail you the solo part if u want to.

  • I LLOVE THIS CLARINETIST ZOMIGOD LUFF LUFF *FAINtS*

  • dang i got this song but its not this vers. i have the Paul Jean Jean one, which is similar, if anyone has any idea which vers this actually is could you let me know?

  • i want this song.

  • More of this amazing Band on :

    w w w .musik-innsbruck-arzl. at

  • he's not playing, because when he stops to take a breath you can still hear the clarinet

  • thats not true.

the audio and video are not in sync. u can tell because the band behind him is playing off as well.

plus if you knew the fingerings for the clarinet you would know that he was playing every note correctly, meaning that the video and audio couldn't have been in sync.

  • Dumbass.

  • dong na syap pa entrada mo a! but you a good player!

  • is the leakager put on the wrong side??.

Alemana? Holandesa? o Vienesa??

  • Who composed this?

  • originally JB Arban wrote the Carnival of Venice and a set of variations which can be found in the back of his conservatory method for trumpet. You've gotta hear Wynton Marsalis play this on Bb trumpet, the clarinet version has a different set of variations by Paul Jean Jean which I think is the edition played here.

  • rolf squeeeek

  • muy bien wow q bien muy bueno

  • Really nice playing, and I love the outfits!!!

  • Is that a Kymco clarinette?

  • Nice control and constant air flow, as well as articulation and range. Most impressive.

  • nice play, wished it wasn't out of synch though.

  • omg! supoer techniques

  • The end was pretty impressive. I played the JeanJean arrangement which is similar.

  • This version by the way is the Giampeiri arrangement of Carnival. Eduard Brunner has a Cd of it. The work was out of print for a while, but I think it came back in print.

  • The high notes are high, but the intonation up there isn't solid. Very good playing overall though!

  • actually the referenced time is at 3.20 not 4.15. thats great articulation

  • that is just amazing at 4:15. What technicality and rapid expression. I love this video, the squeak right at the beginning is unfortunate, but the high range right after that is simply incredible.

  • It is a german clarinet, not 70-80 years old, otherwise it woud not have a full ring system

  • The name of my piece was Arlequin by Louis Cahuzac. Fun piece to play, and I'm not usually a fan of unaccompanied clarinet solos. :)

  • Interesting version of the carneval. Never heart that compined with chapel. Sounds like the solist is on a good way to career. But some ornaments to be improved in the upper pitch of the voices. Another funny detail are the regimentals of the players especially their Lederhoose.

    All in all funny clip.

  • Does anybody know the name of this phuking virtuosi? and is this a Yamaha he´s playin with?

  • If I'm not mistaken, he's playing on a clarinet that is least 70-80 years old because the key system on it is very outdated, but apparently still works..and no, have no idea who he is

  • It is a German system clarinet - they still make 'em and play 'em that way.
