Been looking and heavily considering buying one of those BCM uppers, I think I heard you say that it comes without a BCG? Any suggestions on a good quality BCG?
Awesome video. But cringed when you started cutting towards yourself. I've gotten my leg before. Live n learn I guess. Bit really appreciate the detailed vid and price list :)
@AirsoftOrlando Yes, I could not bring myself to buy one. They look like they will work great, but not that great. Their 100 round mag is well priced at about $160, but I am not digging the 30 round price.
Well it's got the exact parts I wanted, since none 'off the shelf' really come this way.. so I would say this one is as good or better quality as any pre-built, but also the exact size / components I wanted
When Angola was fighting a civil was in the 80s a lot of fighters were fixing bayonets on their rifles. Nobody could figure why an AK would need a bayonet, but it was suggested that the bayonet could act as a guide for the bullet and possibly give it more range.
Just curious, why did you chop the grip? smaller sized hands or is it just preference? Nice rifle btw. My jaw dropped at the price of the surefire mag though.
Looking good. I tried to go on blogtv with my iPhone but the stupid app only has video if you are on wifi. WTF is the point of that. Ohwell maybe next time.
Very nice! I don't have the patients to build so I just bought a bushmaster. I want to add some stuff. The model I got was the 16m4orc. I want a magpul quad rail and some iron sights.
Am a fan myself! I have an 07 pattern for my Lee Enfield. In this country the only justification the draconian government allows for bayonets is for collecting purposes.
I have an AR build planned when I get some money. Spike's Tactical mid-length using mostly Spike's parts. Coming in around the same price, maybe a little more when I factor in other expenses like accessories, tax, etc. If I come in under $1650 when all is said and done, I'll be happy. But the rifle itself will be complete and functional at around $1300 if all goes according to plan.
I'm waiting on BCM to finally get the 14.5 midlength lightweight in stock. I'm really getting annoyed actually but I know it will be worth the weight. Cool video Gweb.
Was a pretty stupid way of asking why you need a bayonet... but on reflection, a jammed rifle and a wounded boar, yeah I'd want one too... perhaps next time I'll think before I type
but besides that, rifles like this one are designed for fighting, and why not be able to fight with it as a weapon it's self, you are already carrying it, ammo or not
What are your experiences with Rock River lowers? Im thinking of building an AR with 1 lower and multiple uppers for different uses. Im thinking Vltor uppers with a RRA lower
How do you think the LMT charging handle compares to the BCM gunfighter?

well, I went with the LMT, one of the best IMO

what were you shooting for with cutting the grip down? Its not saving much weight and doesn't make that much more storable..
does how ever make look like the survival model prototype of the M16 when it first came out.
