Well basically after his wife died he only focused on her instead of God, and so the "christian" band is not christian anymore.. In a sense, so they all decided it was best for him to leave and start his own band, they booted him, on good terms.

I agree...I actually own "cries of the past" and only "And i dreamt of you" and "Giving up hurts the most" and "cries of the past" are about his wife but they still are connected to God so I don't think thats why he booted him. I don't think Corey was in it, but the band you're referring to is called Sleeping By The Riverside. Luke Morton, Scott Nunn, and Matt Clark were all in that band at some point. SBTR is awesome, and they are really nice guys too.
