@199ALLSTAR Current Chevrolet lineup: Aveo, Avalanche, Camaro, Colorado, Corvette, Equinox, Express, HHR, Impala, Malibu, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, Traverse, Volt. All of which fit into a distinct vehicle class. GM knows better than to sell two cars under the same badge in the same segment. I don't know how you're complaining about quantity... that's exactly the same amount as Toyota, one less than Ford, and *three* less than Nissan, just to show some examples...

@gogmorgoaway I understand your point. However my statement also took into consideration the other GM brands as well. Why do we NEED the silverado when there's the GMC sierra. What purpose is Buick when there's Cadillac. This is my issue with GM if chevy already makes 1 car then why does GMC, Pontiac, Buick, Saturn, make the same vehicle. "yes in know saturn and pontiac bit the dust". They also need to stop renaming vehicles, come on the cruze is an updated, cobalt, which is an updated, cavalier

@199ALLSTAR There currently is a lot more differentiation between the different badges than there used to be. The GMC line is a higher trim level than the Chevys. Buick is more of a touring car, and Cadillac does high-end performance, more than anything.

The Cobalt was built on a chassis launched in 03, and only has to do with the Cavy on a couple design cues and segment. The Cruze, while also on that platform, was sold globally for a few years, under that name. Again, it's not just an update.

Most of the makes under the same manufacturer are simply badge-engineered, some with more differences, but underneath they're mostly the same.

But no, z-spec isn't like SS. As it appears, z-spec is purely aesthetic, whereas SS is heavily performance. Quite opposite. Two different groups of buyers.

@asdfgoogle You know what's sad? In Brazil there's no Z-Spec. In here, couple of years ago, Chevrolet (GM) sold SS vehicles that had nothing but minor plastic aesthetic touches and charged like 5 thousand bucks for them. And there were idiots who bought them. I think the only real SS Brazil might've gotten was the Opala back in the 80s. Not sure there were others...
