  • I just did 16 pullups and 40 dips, I have been lifting and running all my life Im 50 I started a month ago trying to do a muscle up. Im surprised how hard it is still cant do one muscle up. I dont know if its a strength weight issue or technique I weigh 175. Well haven't given up yet seems like I should be able to do one but its always close. Ive been trying explosive pull ups to my chest and deep dips.

  • I can do 24 pull ups and 41 dips and not a single muscle up :(

  • hey?

i can do 12 pulls ups in perfect form as well as 12 dips, does that mean i should be able to do muscle ups

  • @casketofdog No, not at all. The Muscle-Up is a combination of a pull-up, dip AND a transition. The transtition might end up being the hardest part of the move. So focus on it if you experience problems with the MU. :)

  • @closetoimpossible ok thanks, and keep making awesome vids :)

and just btw, is drinking about 500ml of watermelon juice a day bad for you? because it is so freakin delicious lol

  • @casketofdog Thanks! No not all, keep drinking if it's 100% natural it's healthy and good for you! :)

  • @closetoimpossible ok thanks, the day i do a muscle up, im gonna go crazy lol, u make it look so easy

ill work on the transaction part with elastic bands

guess ill just do it the same way i got pistols, practise. practise and more practise :P

  • @closetoimpossible Hey man, I`ve been working on this exercise, but no matter how much I try, I never can put myself up the bar, so how much time do you think i need to make a correct muscle up? Btw nice vids, very useful :D

  • very nice music in all videos!

  • @stompin74 Thanks!

  • The training tip for false grip pull ups was very informative! Thanks.

  • @gamersjourn You are welcome.

  • thanks, cool vid.

  • Ive been trying the muscle-up for a long time, only to make it with one arm at a time, or with alot of swing. Never tried this false grip! Might be just what I need to make the controlled muscle-up. Will give it a go tomorrow at training! Thanks for superb tutorials. Thanks alot for sharing your exercies and knowlege! Worth gold! Keep it up! Greetings from Sweden

  • I was trying to figure out the transition for a long time & your video answered it. Thanks my friend.

  • At the end of the video, what was that you were using to practice the dips with? You were pushing down on it while kneeling on the ground.

Thanks. Where did you buy it from and do you have any other tips in using it?

  • @hkw53 It's called bodylastics, I added a link in the description of the video. I got my set last summer as I had no time to visit the weightlifting gym at the point. Ever since then I've been depending on them in my training. :-)

  • Why did you reupload this? Problems with the music?

  • @goppel1 Yes, man, problems with YouTube on copyright grounds.
