I would say both can be prevented in some ways. If you dished out tons of bad, and then had a very needed awakening and went out of your way to correct your wrongs and not do them anymore. I don't think Karma or threefold will come back at you, it is not neccesary to punish those who realized their wrongs and changed them, however maybe this realization itself is Karma.
or destroyed, it can only change form' and I think that relates to karma. In other words, I think the tree fold law is basically the wiccan version of the karmic idea (which I think was originally buddhist). Sorry this has split over two posts! I can ramble on a bit some times :S x
Great video :) In answer to your question, i've always believed in Karma, and that whatever you put out you will get back.. eventually! And I think the two of karma and three fold law are basically the same, although I don't believe in the literal representation of three times back! Seems a little harsh to me (or selfish if you put something good out expecting to get three times as much back!), and being of quite a scientific mindset, I like to think of the rule that 'energy can never be created
You are not long winded. We all say um 100x during our videos. Watch charmingpixieflora...she does it too! Don't worry about the lighting or anything else. I do most of my videos with the lights down because of the glare if I don't. We can still see your hot self?! Good topic love!
I believe in the three fold law and karma in the sense that I do believe that a lot of what you give out comes back to you in numerous ways...but not always necessarily "three" So, if you do one bad deed, then the reprucussions of that may lead to two or three bad deeds done to you, but it won't necessarily even out the odds entirely. (Hopefully that makes sense..I'm really bad at explaining things.)
I just stick to treating others the way that I would like to be treated. I think that is the best basis for fairness. Just like you Autumn I have not fully figured out for myself whether to believe in the 3fold law or not.. To mee it seems that Karma has always been around, it is know by several other belief systems whereas the 3 fold law ist smth.´only wiccans believe in. Good topic for a video.
i try not to get too hung-up on the literalness of 'three' in the threefold law. there are a few different layers of meaning to the law where 'three' factors in, but its not about picking an arbitrary multiplier. the 3x-law is the wiccan 'face' of the universal karmic principle, its our poetic way of describing how reciprocity works. karma itself means 'action', and the karmic principle in its most simplistic form is that 'action begets reaction'. for wiccans, the two are complementary.
@forkfullofpie Yeah, at the end of the day I believe in fairness and getting back what you deserve, but I do know some people who strictly believe in the 3 Fold Law literally so I thought it would be interesting to see what other people think. Thanks for watching and commenting!
