@LoveBigBangTheBest It seems that Michelle suffered an accident that left her partially disabled and went into a wild lifestyle. She was only 36 when she died.

Jennifer is exactly how i thought she would be!!awfully awfully upper class ebglish in a sort of quaint way,its charming,really sweet,and she's quite hot.Julian hasn't changed all that much either.Love to have seen Michele,I think I found a pic of her finally,aged 21

Doesn't anyone find it strange that Jennifer Thanisch hadn't even watched the programme since it was first broadcast? Does anyone have any theories as to why not?

@saggyeyebag I would imagine that actors tend not to watch repeat performances of themselves and since producers Southern TV lost their ITV contract 3 years later the shows have never been repeated on terrestrial TV and probably not on satellite/cable either. I imagine that if this show had been recorded on videotape instead of being shot on film it would have been wiped. Southern tended to wipe much of their children's shows recorded on VT.

Thanks for posting this.Brings back lots of memories.I had a major crush on Jennifer back when I first saw the show back in 1979.I was only 9 years old at the time but I still thought she was hot.lol. Its interesting to see what they look like now.There is a photo of Gary Russell who played Dick on Wikepedia.I wish they would release the series on dvd.

Gary Russell, who played Dick, is now a writer involved with Doctor Who. Michelle Gallagher, who played George, is rumoured to have been a depressive who eventually took her own life; I've no idea if that's true or just an urban myth. Gary Russell has said that she was emotionally troubled during filming, which is very sad.
