this is probably the best method i've seen, but if you know your way around ur program files, copy the maps from HL2 and put them into portal, some of them are huge, just sayin, it's another way, and haven't you wanted to jump off the citadel only to launch urself from another portal?

Thats how you get the Terminal Velocity achievement to fall 30,000 feet..

For Long Jump you need to be moving in the x-axis (sideways) instead of just the y-axis (up and down). Havent gotten this one yet, as I thought you couldnt touch any walls while you were moving.

Actually, I found the easiest way to long jump was in the HUGE room that you get ambushed in just before you reach the Final room (The one with GLADOS).

I don't think ps3's are shit. I understand their capabilities. The whole reason I bought an xbox 360 was because of the many advantages (including achievements), that make the xbox 360 a better choice for me as a console.

Xbox 360 is better than PS3 because when the Xbox 360 first came out it was ahead of it's time. So a game that recently came out on 360 and PS3 is GTA4. now the 360 was released in 2005. 3 years later the technology is still able to run that game but Sony had to release a completely different console to be able to run that game. So the Xbox can process much more information and present much more detail than it was originally desinged for.

its a powerful machine no doubt, but its expensive, and not built with the programmer in mind. its very difficult to program for all those extra processors which means more man-hours which means more cost which means only rarely can developers afford to make games exclusive for it.. but working in a game shop i can tell you its very hard to shift ps3 copies of any game. they made a similar mistake with the PSP. it has potential, its just let down with bad business sense on sony's part

There is 2 angled sufaces far apart you fly across the room.
