The interior, power plant and suspension et cetera of these cars, at best, rates juvenile; utterly unreliable on all counts, let alone void of intelligent design; compared to today's ugly ..... err ... wait a minute: buy a new Cadillac CTS-V and swap its body etc, with a Miura ... now that would be a car. However, you would still be pressed for a new interior, since both carÈs control panels and appointments bite
I have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old Sports Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Mercedes vintage owners in Germany do so :)
@topgear635 Hmmmm that is a tough one. I wouldent say that they are comparable. The 8C is a classically beautiful car but in a modern sense. I would say that they are both the prettiest cars of their era.
