Hey can you tell me where do i get the banjo solo background music you are playing to?? by the way you're version is different from the one i learnt..can you plz send me the sheet too?
It's okay but you should get away from looking at the sheet music and learn some Irish ornamentation instead of playing the song so "straight"......throw in some cuts, rolls, triplets, etc......
you played it rly nicely but just a tip from a fellow violinist play at the frog (close to where you hold) you have more control and can go much faster :D
@phephebillz ive been playing for the same amount and got mine today :) its actually not too expensive, it was soooo much less than my classical violin, and it sounds awesome :) just tell your parents that, they should let you
AWESOME. However, as a violinist of 11 years, I should tell you that to get a more soulful sound out of your instrument, play nearer to the balance point/frog.
@EZEEKEEL a violin is something you never want to buy a cheap model of. Itll sound awful and usually comes from a chinese factory other thn being hand crafted. but you can get a prtty decent yamaha 150 i believe for like 600. or you can save up for the amazing skinbow =] I myself prefer skinbows but my opinion
@pmbazman15 I agree :D But when picking a violin, I wouldn't be too concerned about who made it or where it was made. If it feels good for you then thats the one! Sam :D
@pmbazman15 You never want to buy a cheap model of any music instrument really. With more common instruments (electric guitar, electric bass and drums) you can't really buy something that won't work and hold up, they're all built to hold up, they just won't play very well. You cut corners on violins and that family of instruments, you end up with wood that hasn't aged properly, not glued properly and at some points not even jointed properly. Fender will never run a Squier series Violin
@pmbazman15 you are so right man. i am a violinist myself and i beg my dad every time we go shoping and see a chinese peice of crap not to by it(he thinks just because its cheap its good). i hve an ok violin right now, a 2005 samuel eastman handcrafted violin made ineast germany, and it my not be very old, but it has a way better sound quality then my friends crapy chinese violin. also never get anything painted. the sound quality is horrible
but your wrist is starting to look like a waiters hand (its bending in too far) and your bow kind of plays crooked at some parts. fix that and it'll be PERF[:
Hey, I play violin also. I've been playing for about 12 years now, and Im only 16. But you play very well, I bet you could play a lot more complicated stuff though! Show yourself off! (Thats the part of the point lol) Keep playing!
Ireland!!!! hellz yah!!!!!! very good job! if you are interested in the Irish in the American Civil War check out my channel i have a tribute to the Irish Brigade!
real beautiful sound! :) Love irish music. you play very well, go on! :) can I give you a hint? Don't use the elbow to guide the bow, try to make it out of the wrist. (off the cuff?) sorry for my english ^^ let your arm hang completely relaxed, the wrist only guides. :) good luck and have fun
Ooh! did you know I'm an Irish gal at heart? Irish dance... celtic voice... hmm... would you ever like to be in a collab with me? Happy music making, Mr fiddler!
If you don't mind me asking, how much does an electric one run ya? I am thinking about picking this up but am broke as a joke! Any cheap alternatives orrr?
Electric violins are great and really fun to mess around with but if your stuck for cash then you could just get a pickup for your acoustic violin? Thanks anyways!
White people are white
Black people are black
Asian people are yellow
And apparently,
Irish people are orange.

Oh man, I was looking at this violin on Amazon. Doesn't sound half bad. I guess it takes a good player to make it sound good, though.
