  • The video owner is a control freak. Half the comments are from him. let social media do its thing buddy. If you don't like it, don't post videos.

By the way, your video sucks. Someone ripped the black sticker off, who cares?

  • @bluedaisy211 Do you have anything nice to say? If you don't like my video then don't watch it. Find something better to do rather than posting retarded comments on old videos. Simple. Btw, ripping the black sticker off may be a form of vandalism.

  • In the words of the Brooklyn Subway lines, BFD.

  • @tryithere Is this angry comment necessary?

  • @NHRHS2010 Yes. Yes it is.

  • @tryithere Then if you don't like my video, don't watch it. Simple. I don't appreciate people posting angry comments on my videos.

  • V train was discontinued in 2010. 1 train makes all stops .

  • @Austinlam3 Yes it did indeed. Ever since V train was discontinued, nearly every comment here was about the V train. I know the story and I get the point. I uploaded this video about two years before V being discontinued. I live in New Jersey and have been to New York many times and watched the transit system change from time to time.

  • Well Heres The Reason The 9 Train Is Still Shown Today But Its Was Gone So Everybody Knows About That I Was Born in 1997 And I Used To Go With My Dad On The 9 Train

  • What 9 goes too?

  • @Romerjon17 Yes, the 9 Train was gone since 2005. This video was taken in summer 2008.

  • THIS IS A MESSAGE TO EVERYONE VIEWING THIS VIDEO: look at when the video was uploaded and think about when the V train was replaced by the M and the W was eliminated. STOP ASKING THAT QUESTION AND OVERLOADING THE COMMENTS.

  • @gamesfreak699 Thank you. This happened in June 2010.

  • @trainboyrob excuse me??

  • the thing they tear it out

  • But there is a "V" sign there! I was born in 1980 and I never saw a "v" train!

  • @RerailMe Well there was a "V" train between 2001 and 2009! Although a small portion of it was in Manhattan, it ran mostly in Queens.

  • I meant 2001 until mid-2010

  • @NHRHS2010 Thanks! I moved out of N.Y, before 2001 so that's why I never new about it. :)

  • @NHRHS2010 there was a v train it was orange if my memory doesn't fail me,

  • @nemisiesaidSTARS Yes, there was a V train but it was eliminated in June 2010.

  • Big deal the 9. I seen that since i was a little kid stop ripping off the tape noob

  • @PossessedDonutz Yeah some idiot probably vandalized by taking off the tape in an attempt "to bring the 9 back"

  • no more v it is a mystery

  • @mrgar588 look at when the video was uploaded and think about when the V train was replaced by the M.

  • The (V) doesnt exist now.

  • @TheSubwayMustango You mean, subway line V? I do know that NYC subway lines recently changed a lot.

  • @NHRHS2010 The V Line was taken out of service, The W Line was taken out of service. The M Train was rerouted so it no longer goes to Canal St,, Chambers st ETC, the G train was extended to church ave on the D train side, The F train runs with the D train

  • @TheSubwayMustango look at when the video was uploaded and think about when the V train was replaced by the M.

  • Because you pulled off the cover tape to make a stupid video. Geraldo Rivera you ain't.

  • @tryithere I am not the one who pulled off the cover tape. I discovered that the tape was gone when I arrived at the place. If you don't like my video(s), then do not, and I repeat, DO NOT watch them at all. Please find something better to do RATHER than post retarded comments on my videos.

  • someone pealed off the tape and whoever did i thank

  • Someone ripped off the cover the (9) train was gone since 2004

  • @MegaGiovanni1984 Someone did rip it off, or that it was just worn out.

  • BFD

  • they forgot to remove it dumb ass, lol

  • No they didn't. They did place black tape and the tape likely came off. If you see it clearly, you can see the tape residue. And please don't call me a dumbass.

  • MEH FINE!!!!!

  • ???

  • let me tell you nhrhs2010 the 9 train is back in service

  • No it's not. It's just a false rumor. You should really check the MTA website.

  • they rip the cover off....

  • yep they do...whether it's on purpose or by accident

If it's on purpose and without approval, it's considered vandalism.

  • OBVIOUSLY Someone removed the black tape that is covering the 9. If you really dont like it you could put the black tape back. I remember when they were putting black tape I was so pissed the 9 was one of my favorite trains. rip

  • I'm not really annoyed. I was just showing how the fact that the 9 is still on the sign. And yes, it is obviously due to the fact that the black tape was ripped off. I have never taken the 9 train, but I have taken several other lines. But the 7 is the only above-ground train I've been on (I took the whole route at once, from Flushing to Times Square)

  • y du u care??

  • why do YOU care whether I care or not!?!

  • sorry i've never been to nyc but i just want to know why is it weird that it says that at atlantic

  • How about line 9 3/4?

  • lol, it would be nice to have fractional number for a subway line number, but I've never seen one. I've also never seen Platform 9 3/4 in any train stations, but I've seen one in Harry Potter.

  • well that is true. I did indeed see a tape residue on the "9" sign.

  • There was a lady in front of you in the beginning.

  • Well, it's common to have people in my way when I take a YouTube video in cities. Manhattan is an example of a crowded city.

  • I saw a diamond W once.

  • Really?Since When?Beacuase I Want To Take IT!

  • lol there just fakes... idk y the mta does stuff like that... like i saw a diamond R once on the actual R train it was brown instead of yellow (the color) lmfao... im not lieing

  • wow me too lol

  • yeaaaaaaa

  • @koolmazin I saw it too one time, I think it was car number 5524 R46 that had that

  • @koolmazin I've seen that before.

  • Well clearly they'd covered up the nine, but the masking fell off. Hey, the city's buying new signs for the former Triborough Bridge, now the RFK. You can be sure the city will not be making the sort of humble alterations we see in this video. Nope, the city is spending $4 million on them. Great time for it.

  • Hey look! The 9 train!

I've seen stuff like that before

  • The 9 Train in the NYC Subway system was shut down in 2005, but the MTA either forgot to remove the sign, or the tape that covered the sign, got worn out. I don't know what was going on.

  • Yeah I know. Same thing with the Q diamond

  • You've seen the Q diamond sign still existing these days? I've never seen those, but I have indeed seen a 9 Train sign still existing, as seen in this video. Sometimes, signs don't get removed immediately after the discontinuance. Like back in December 2006, I flew in a Delta Air Lines flight from Atlanta, Georgia to New York LaGuardia Airport and the exterior was a plane that Song Airline had used and didn't get repainted, and Song was already merged with Delta.

  • idk, havent been near the q line lately, but i saw it on signs and even on the r143 strip map. idk if they have fixed it yet. I do remember there was a sign still showing after Q diamond discontinued

  • Yea, people are sometimes too lazy to remove them. If I ever go on the subways in NYC, I mostly take the 1, 2, 3, A, C, and E, although I may occasionally take other lines, like I took the 7 Train last June from Flushing to Times Square. (Yes, I should have taken the LIRR, but my time was so flexible that day and it was cheaper to take the subway)

  • you can see half of a q diamond sign the tip at sheepshead bay where the q sign is there is a tip pointing down

  • Is Sheepshead Bay in Brooklyn?

  • Yeah Sheepshead Bay is in Brooklyn. The subway station over there is embankment / elevated.

  • Now I see....

  • They are such lazy mta workers. I also live in new york too and I take the trains sometimes.

  • What does the diamond mean as opposed to a circle?

  • A diamond is an express version of that subway line. For example, for the Flushing Line, which is the 7 Train, the 7 circle is local, while the 7 diamond is the express.

  • It use to Symbolize rush hour only service such as the (5) via White Plains Road Express or (M) via West End... Until 2005... Now its for (6) Pelham Express and (7) Flushing Express. () aka Diamond, cant use the arrow here since its disabled..

  • 9 is back! bigger and better than ever!!

I take it every day from that exact station

  • Are you sure that it's 9? It could just be a rumor, but it's more likely the 1 train. Google it and there is a proof that 9 Train was discontinued in 2005. And the chances are, the "9" sign was covered in black tape and it got worn off or someone might have vandalized the sign.

  • I am sure. I take it every morning ... it is the 9.

Other regular riders include Andy Warhol, Mary Todd Lincoln, Renata Tebaldi and George Balanchine.

    boowaaaahhaaahhaaahhaaahhaaaaaa!
