The mic, it's connected to the camera. It's called a boom mic and it captures sound much more clearer without clipping from other sounds like wind or the humming of a heater or A/C running.

That's the famous Korg joystick. Go left and right and you get pitch bending. Go up and down and you get modulation in BOTH directions. The up motion is usually vibrato and the down motion is usually an LFO assignment. But, you can assign the Joystick to ANY assignable parameter in the OASYS, which is almost EVERY parameter! It can be assigned to a hundred different things if you want or just one parameter! It's uses are almost endless! It's pretty crazy.

There are also two switches which can actually LOCK the motion of the Joystick so it stays at that setting. If you move it down and hold it while pressing SW2, for example, it'll stay there. A LOT of programs do that in the OASYS and it just brings out the sound. Go play one and select a program you like. Then use the Joystick to see how it affects the program. Some of the assignments are REALLY crazy! Others are simple, but they add a lot to the expression. The Triton and Trinity also do this!

Yes it does and it's even MORE insane with Karma because you can actually TRIGGER notes and arpeggios with the Ribbon, or Joystick in ADDITION to all the other stuff I mentioned above! Korg has it DOWN! It is CRAZY good! LOL I love it!

And the M3's XY Mode gets in the way, too sometimes. The OASYS Vector Joystick is SO much better! Its not in the way, and you don't have to switch modes to 'morph' your sounds, if you will and its less strain on the screen.

I do that with delay effects sometimes just to get that rhythm I'm looking for to bring out the melodies I write. It's really incredible. The versatility of this instrument is SO vast. Kurzweil could NEVER on this PLANET even DREAM of competing with this! I bet the K3 line will be a souped up version of the PC3 with NO focus in the interface OR sound quality. Kurzweil users: spend ONE MONTH with the OASYS and THEN come back to me and tell me it's not the most AMAZING keyboard you've EVER played.
