in 1998, his 2nd yr into racing. he was too eager to prove himself to the skeptical public. He tried too hard to block another car and lost control. He crashed into a wall at 160kph and broke 3 bones in his right foot. he rested for 6 months b/4 he could go back into racing. he now has 4 steel rods implanted in his foot. his dad tried all means to stop him from racing again. the media scoffed at him. but he was determined to pursue his dream. he overcame all odds and became a pro racer today.

after he crashed he unlocked the seatbelts and got out. Moments later the car bursted into flame. he said if he had waited for the workers to come get him out he would've been engulfed in flame. after the accident he realized he tried too hard and slowed down. his enemy's not other racers but himself. he practised lap after lap trying to beat his own record. After he went back into racing he started to win races and got 7 first places in 2001 alone.
