  • i'd give u a 70%in a piano exam

  • you need to slow down and not rush too much, you get increasingly faster. Also, the right hand needs to change dynamics also. Very nice though.

  • The Left hand is supposed to sing. I'm playing this song for my grade 8. It's really hard because your right hand is usually dominant. Good Work feel the crescendos and decresendoes

  • The Left hand is supposed to sing. I'm playing this song for my grade 8. It's really hard because your right hand is usually dominant. Good Work

  • not just dynamics, also on motion which is like mini dynamics. You just gotta feel where you should rise or lower the sound a bit.

  • i think that is beautiful!!! Thank YOU!! am just starting to learn this... and it sounds heavely!

  • am doing this for my grade 8 exam!! :) pumped to learn it

  • cant hear left hand

  • What other pieces would you compare with this piece? As in similar style, techniques etc. Thanks.

  • True, but I have also studied Chopin. There is no mention in the preludes of dramatic Rubato as in his other compositions, and there are many circles that feel the 24 preludes ought to be treated with a less profound rubato technique. I am a part of this idea, and felt that he did a much grander job for which you are giving him credit.

  • nice job

  • It's a motherfucking critique. It's supposed to tell what's wrong, unless the piece was perfect. Night said Frank did a good job, but pointed out it's flaws, so that next time, Frank can play better. Night's not being mean, or rude; in the piano world, he's being nice. So shut it.

  • dangg, you're gooddd. i can't get mine likes this :\

  • Hey night sky999 , where is your vid for this song? We are all ready to critic you.

  • critique*

  • exactly, the right hand is way too loud, and hes not using doing the rubato's correctly. just none of these tools play piano and assume dumb shit. if any of you fools heard it played correctly in person, you would know what hes saying.

  • i agree with you

  • fucking idiot snob that was passionate and emotional and whatnot. i bet you suck at piano and life

  • omg wat a perfectionest. who cares!!!! it sounded gr8!!! loser

  • sure you did sweety.

  • hmm...needs more dynamics

  • Right hand should be quieter. Dont make the left hand louder because your right hand is Forte and the song is piano your left hand is good but you need to feel the piece not just play it.(work on the dynamics)

  • yes it isn't super but you have a good right hand :) but left hand is too quiet. :( no dynamic.

  • but it is good i think;)

  • yes, the left hand should be louder through the majority of the piece, but consider that the recording device is on the right hand side of the piano. when i teach i sit pretty much exactly where the camera is and i always find that i hear more right hand. when i'm really listening to my students' balance i move to other parts of our room.

  • ah! i have the same problem as you (if it's a problem for you too.) i always always always rush measures 7 and 8.

btw, i know this is your interpretation, but if i could make some tips, i would slow down a lot more in measures 20 and 21. you played it just as fast as the first time but it says poco ritardando!

    it was beautiful though (:

  • Helloo do u know nothing about music? or can u not just read. The melody is in left hand ud just be killing the song.u r a very bad music critic!

  • Thats like saying, hey Beethoven, go play us a song, without your piano.

  • you are the first one I see playing this at the right time congratulations !!

other videos are too fast or too slow XD

  • wow good interpretation !!

  • the left hand has to be even louder.:D

  • Wow, you obviously know little about music. Why would you want mute the melody. That is just stupid

  • too slow? Im learning this also and I play much slower and really bring out the left hand

  • umm... the melody is in the left hand. duh.

  • try playing the high B by alternating your 4th and 5th fingers. otherwise, i think you do a great job on this. i'm just beginning to learn it.

  • Hej

I liked it. Evn if i am the only one its the first time i hear this prelude i want to play it now. Plus playing it slow makes it great: kinda like being at Chopin's funeral.

  • your right hand is way too loud. it isnt the melody. that is 4 the left hand. but overall pretty good. oh and u need more expression.

  • Meh. You could bring out the left hand more and use more feeling in the piece. Grace notes were well done though. Try to dig into the keys rather than just pressing them. Man. I'm sounding like an adjudicator right now aren't I.

  • too fast... more emotion. other than that, it was good!

  • The tune is played in the LEFT HAND. You can clearly hear the higher note with ur right hand. Well done on the grace notes: many people find them hard in this piece! Also, as someone said, careful with speed. Just take into account that "Sotto Voce" means in an undertone, hence poco dark and lurkey. Dont rush this piece! I find the part that needs a lot of expression, that many people ignore, is the final few bars. The piece is making its last statement - let it. But overall, Id say 8/10

  • watch out for speeding up when the right hand takes the melody for those few measures remember this isnt sposed to go with a metronome put some more hesitations in maybe but well done

  • ahh! i just memorized this song last week! you played it well!!
