actully the vp in guildwars is very fun and not hard, its one of the few mmos where the pvp is fun and you dont have to be an expert in order to do good

i played this game for 3 years and i do not regret it, very friendly community and awesome storyline. i am taking a break until guild wars 2 comes out. another plus to this game is once you buy each game you never have to pay a single cent for anything unless you want extra character slots, skills without doing any work for them (you won't regret buying the skills for pvp), and inventory space.

I have to agree with Nmr4292. Even though reaching the maximum level for a character is always done before getting to the end game, you will still need XP points to be able to buy skills from skill trainers. You somewhat failed to mention that some side quests are the only way to obtain certain campaign specific skills. Really GW is just too huge to go over and requires more of an article than a video to explain it fully. Good job though on your review.
in ur cons u put items hard to get, thats in every mmo and everyone knows it. and u dont need any exp after 20? umm yea u do. u can still get attribute points to make u even more of a badass.
@tehnooblegend No missions are more like big quests with cut scenes and they pretty much push along the storyline. A lot of the quests are just little side objectives. Most missions are done with just your party but some are dual party missions where you meet up with another group to complete the goal. There are no specified "raids" in GW. Just big missions and stuff like that
They have different quests and nightfall and Factions have extra classes. You do not need to buy the original guild wars to play them though. They are all stand alone games. Hope that helped.

Although it graphics look very nice this game has very low system requirements...I even played this game on PC with 64MB graphic card, 1ghz CPU, and 56k dial-up modem connection...that's when I started gw long time ago :)
The game is instanced but I would take that as an advantage coz in that way developers could make gameplay more interesting, not to mention that mobs actually have AI and are not just deathless statues on wich u must do the grinding...

Well I have a pretty ok comp imo and quite gud laptop. Guild Wars is deisgned to deliver an awesome game with beaut graphics for the average system. Well my comp cudnt handle Wrahammer Age of Reckoning or Sims 3, which are fairly recent games but it handles GW superbly. JUst thinking about explorignt the charr forests makes me want to reinstall the game. I suggest u try it, in the UK its ded cheap so even for whatever reason it didnt work nor you didnt like it its not alot of money lost like £7

Well you should get the original one wich is like around 20 bucks now, gw2 dosen't come out till like late next year or 11 so I would get the first one so I can have a little experience with the game, but definatly get it, its a good game..kinda gets boring if you don't do anything,
I love the con: Some items are overpriced or hard to get. If youre a casual player you dont need something like a torm shield or VS(I have em though) Stats are more important than looks.

@Persason Well thats a silly question! of Coarse not! In wow, i felt obligated to play hours on end to get my moneys worth every month which is why it feels like a second job. This is a great game for casual players who can stop for how ever long they want and pick the game up again whenever. It is not bad either for hardcore players because there is plenty of PvP content to play with right from the start.
you should try Runes of Magic, it is basically Like WoW but alot better and it has Dual Classes and in game Housing Which makes the game Very Unique, And the best part is, It is !00% FREE!
many people Aggree with me that Runes of magic is alot better then WoW for Many Reason's. Definatly Worth a try however Some people May Like Wow better because WoW looks better and has More Traditions to MMO but if you're looking for a new MMO that's just as good, maybe even better then go for Runes of Magic

Guild Wars, it's great and more worth your money than WoW. And no one can argue that. You pay MUCH less than what a WoW player would play. But don't be fooled that since you don't have to pay that the game isn't as good. I personally prefer Guild Wars much more than WoW.

Guild Wars only has 1 expansion, seeing as Guild Wars: Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall are stand-alone campaigns.
Eye of the North is the only "true" expansion as it has content for existing players only, and you need at least ONE of the other campaigns in order to play it.
well WoW you have to pay a fee because of like when they come out with new patches which are new areas or dungeons. GW is a good game but for me i like WoW better. Its just up to what you like better
GW is the best game, WoW is for children, Aion is cool, cos the graphic and wings, but GW is the best one cos its all bout tactic, u only got 8 skills and if ur a necro, and u meet another necro there can be a huge different between u both, in aion, all ranger got almost same skill, all assasins got almost same skill ?? its all about the level, if u lower u would prob. lose, in WoW u got lik 6456546 skills, and the graphic suck badly, its like games for 20 years ago... WoW was released in 2004, and GW in 2005 since they both got the same style of game.. before WoW it was only Warcraft and it was a stragety game not a MMORPG

PvE characters have access to all the PvP arenas. The advantage of the PvP-only char is that you start at max level and have access max weapons and armor, which is essential for competitive PvPing.

just a couple thoughts, its been established that theres no monthly fees, that seems to be their big draw vs WoW...but thats it really. Ok the graphics are alot better but graphics are for looks, they hardly make a game what it is. Super Mario is a great game and theres like 5 different colors in it. the PvP falls so short of WoWs, not much else needs to be said, world pvp and arena just own all else. I played Gwars first and I must say, paying the extra 15 bucks a month for wow is worth it

Graphics are pretty decent. My computer is pretty bad, so I'm careful about lag. Playing at lowest settings is still pretty good.

The client also install on a tester to test you computer software. Should try that.
Other than that, no it doesn't require that good a graphics card. Ran fine on my nVidia 6200.

Well you should get the original one wich is like around 20 bucks now, gw2 dosen't come out till like late next year or 11 so I would get the first one so I can have a little experience with the game, but definatly get it, its a good game..kinda gets boring if you don't do anything,

GW is free guys. You just have the buy the game first. No monthly fees, No cash shop.

Look in outpost. You can find them with GM tag above their heads but they dont always wear said tag and are usually on alts.

I love the con: Some items are overpriced or hard to get. If youre a casual player you dont need something like a torm shield or VS(I have em though) Stats are more important than looks.

@Persason Well thats a silly question! of Coarse not! In wow, i felt obligated to play hours on end to get my moneys worth every month which is why it feels like a second job. This is a great game for casual players who can stop for how ever long they want and pick the game up again whenever. It is not bad either for hardcore players because there is plenty of PvP content to play with right from the start.

you should try Runes of Magic, it is basically Like WoW but alot better and it has Dual Classes and in game Housing Which makes the game Very Unique, And the best part is, It is !00% FREE!
many people Aggree with me that Runes of magic is alot better then WoW for Many Reason's. Definatly Worth a try however Some people May Like Wow better because WoW looks better and has More Traditions to MMO but if you're looking for a new MMO that's just as good, maybe even better then go for Runes of Magic

Guild Wars, it's great and more worth your money than WoW. And no one can argue that. You pay MUCH less than what a WoW player would play. But don't be fooled that since you don't have to pay that the game isn't as good. I personally prefer Guild Wars much more than WoW.

Overall a good review, 4 out of 5 stars.
Guild Wars only has 1 expansion, seeing as Guild Wars: Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall are stand-alone campaigns.
Eye of the North is the only "true" expansion as it has content for existing players only, and you need at least ONE of the other campaigns in order to play it.

well WoW you have to pay a fee because of like when they come out with new patches which are new areas or dungeons. GW is a good game but for me i like WoW better. Its just up to what you like better

GW is the best game, WoW is for children, Aion is cool, cos the graphic and wings, but GW is the best one cos its all bout tactic, u only got 8 skills and if ur a necro, and u meet another necro there can be a huge different between u both, in aion, all ranger got almost same skill, all assasins got almost same skill ?? its all about the level, if u lower u would prob. lose, in WoW u got lik 6456546 skills, and the graphic suck badly, its like games for 20 years ago... GW ftw, and GW2 for pros.

PvE characters have access to all the PvP arenas. The advantage of the PvP-only char is that you start at max level and have access max weapons and armor, which is essential for competitive PvPing.

just a couple thoughts, its been established that theres no monthly fees, that seems to be their big draw vs WoW...but thats it really. Ok the graphics are alot better but graphics are for looks, they hardly make a game what it is. Super Mario is a great game and theres like 5 different colors in it. the PvP falls so short of WoWs, not much else needs to be said, world pvp and arena just own all else. I played Gwars first and I must say, paying the extra 15 bucks a month for wow is worth it
