i don't understand why people are criticizing him after 1 loss. how many fighters went undefeated throughout their careers? almost none. cung is one of the best stand up fighters in the world, and he is improving his grappling game. he is an exciting fighter and good for the sport. both mma fans and other fans should accept this. i think his technical level will bring him back to the top again soon.

Chung is a really nice guy, he is hard working, but he has never fought a top 40 opponent in MMA. His best opponent was Frank Scamrock who hasn't been in the mix since the 90's. If Jake Shields or Nick Diaz was taking fights with Van Flue or Brian Morgan they would get laughed at. Chung did his in san shou, take the money & make movies.

Cung Le is one of the classiest guys in MMA. It's disappointing to see him take such a long lay off and not defend his belt but he's trying to establish a future for himself outside of fighting. He's 37. He only has a few years left to compete so he's using his MMA fame to launch a movie career. Hopefully he comes back to fighting soon.
