This shit is raw! There was a time when THIS shit was the underground. It was unlike anything else out there, and it was good to be in on the game, when it was new. Ahh, 1988..
@abe1sapien You aren't the only one who says that. "DOC" is my top five of all time. For at least ten years, he was my best "west coast" of all time. Rakim is #1, DOC is #2.
kedordu, I know he is a great writer, but rapping is his true calling! I just wanted to hear his second cd with his true voice, I know that sucker would be in our top ten album list and probably have the plastic wrapping around the album cover in mint condition(didn't think I was going back that far did ya)smile and peace! And Frank these kids just don't know that old school is where it is at and what there gonna call old school, will probably not even be classics! Peace!
Frank, The DOC would have been one of the greatest of all time, if he still had his voice! He could at least saved us from having someone who doesn't deserve to be in a Vh1 or MTV top ten out of the 100 or 50 best MC's! Could you imagine what his sophomore disc would have done! Peace and keep it old school!
DOC is still one of the greatest writers in rap . even DOC said evething happens for a reason . it might seem hes underrated but true westcoast rap fans know his contribution to pop culture
Dell, I believe is D.O.C would have kept his voice, there would have been no Snoop Dogg or any of this bull they call rap! Fila Fresh Crew, takes me back to when I used to be in all the groups, before I decided to go solo on the tip in my battle days! Chuloloc, you brought up a true throwback record store, Camelot, pour out some Kool Aid for good old record shops and the discounts! Peace!
im kinda glad he loss his voice. everything happens for a reason. maybe he wudve gotten in trouble because of his big mouth. god makes things happen for a reason. and d.o.c. knows that. he cudve been gotten a vocal cord transplant but he decided not to
Well I don't know about being glad but if he didn;t lose his voice alot of songs would of been sung by D.O.C insteed of Eazy E and Dre and these guys D.O.C wrote for
not true, they wouldve still sung thoe songs. doc is also a writer and wrote those songs for them. he gets into theircharacter and writes lyrics that suite them. his style wudve been different. but as a sid everything happens for a reason
Awesome. Some old school shit. I remember back in the days when I was a kid going thru the low-price tape section at a Camelot Music store and seeing the old Fila Fresh Crew tape called Tuffest Man Alive but I never took the chance to buy it. I'm still regretting it.
