Without the KTM engine in the Outlaw that quad would suck majorly.Polaris is boasting their 525IRS by stating that it comes with the KTM powerplant,to help sale that quad.

@E46MRider First off Polaris doesn't make the outlaws anymore 2010 was the last year of production on them and Polaris started using KTM engines before the outlaw had one in it Polaris was going to buy into Ktm to keep the company going and eventually buy them out but now its just a partnership with ktm and they still use ktm motors in other wheelers an they also use Fuji engines and if you don't no who they are its a subdivision of Subaru, If it wasn't for Polaris ktm wouldn't have made an ATV

I drive a Prowler700, Renegade 800X, Honda TRX400, Zuki LTR450. What I find amazing is that all these are made for the enormous american quad market but why dont amerca build them? Its like motorcycles for the road too. The market is dominated by foreign brands and america builds Harleys. Patriotism on wheels with saddlebags. And cars... USA is a huge car loving country but none of the good stuff is built there. While In Europe there are currently like 50-60 different supercars available.

Americans pretty much owns the pickup market. Sure Mercedes, Toyota has them but not that size and not as cheap. A Unimog is expensive. The Ford GT isnt a European car but the Wheels are german, seats brittish, brakes Italian, Cant remember it all but the gearing, cluth, drivetrain, all out of other cars. Lotus set up the chassis and handling. Bodywork is brittish, bits and pieces are from a german Ford Focus. Steering out of an Aston Martin. Pretty much the only american thing is the engine.

@gmrtg1414 Not anytime soon..The 41mm FCR is killer if you know how to tune.Fuel injection (YFZR,LTR)gives a smoother power band.I like the raw feeling from the FCR carb.Also makes more power.
