I would like this truck ASAP...had a HPI 2350 (kept breaking, literally every run something plastic would break) Can you direct me specifically to the all-metal; gears, shock tower and better torque servo.thank you for your help!

On website the basic description says "metal" gears included...is this NOT true then about spur? confused

Seriously,

cant keep playing with my HPI cause it keeps breaking breaking (+reliable drivetrain, motor/esc and TVP, - everything else!)

@astout76 The gears in the diff are metal and the drive gear in the transmission if I remember correctly are metal. The spur that came on my truck was plastic and I switch it for the optional steel spur gear.

I'm in the market for a new truck, this looks fun/fast. But i have been researching the "durability" of this truck. Some places put a bad review on the "brittleness" of the parts. Has this been addressed? I will NOT be doing anything EXTREME! like 50 foot jumps, cliff dives and smashing into things, but i do expect the NORMALtear/tumbles from taking it to the local park. Is this truck able to handle that?

@astout76 The only think that I don't like on the truck is the spur gear, but we do offer a metal spur gear on the truck. Other than that I haven't broken anything on the truck yet.

The Mad Beast is a good quality Monster Truck but the body's are CRAP, the body's do not give way, they do not bend, they just literally crack up into piece's upon impact, TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE !!! Raise the cost of the body's and invest into better durable plastic. The durability of the body is very important as it act's like a billboard in letting people know that this is an Exceed RC Monster Truck. The body is a form of advertisement.

First off it would beat your mini slash by a long shot and second off it's a great truck but with $100 worth if upgrades the thing will be better than a savage flux and be a good $200 less! Would recommend it especially the nitro one!!!

@rcmen13 first off have u even seen a mini slash????they go 60mph with a good 3s and i doubt the mad beast could even hit 40. Second that truck will never be as good as the flux. Why? Its the worlds most durable basher, for it to be even close the the fluxes speed you have to get a better esc and possibly motor because the fluxes esc is a 120a and that thing is only 80a and that in it self is around $200 not to mention all the broken parts ull have. And last of all exceed is mainly shit.

its a good truck i got one about 4 weeks ago only problem ive had is with the gear box lock tight fixed that. it has soft metal screws but it is solid for the most part i have some problems with the controler (hard time reversing) but its fast and very powerful (maybe 40-45mph out of the box not sure)servo sucks but its a good buy for 350 compared to the the savage thats 700 but the two are not compatable at all it looks like the savage but is Not! :) still a good buy

this truck will have no aftermarket support for upgrades other than nitrorcx.

and this does only support 4s lipo. but thats enough

the e-maxx $600 will take 6s
