what are the intended outcome of the contemporary artists in terms of responding to modern issues and making the world/ society better, if contemporary art is not at all mainstream how they gonna be able to communicate those great ideas to mainstream society in order to make such big impact? after all is this what contemporary art should contribute to the world, or is it just limited to self expression that often leads to self indulgence of the artists?
