I'm sure most muslims are good people (esp. in western countries). However, there are thousands of Al-Qaeda fighters in Pakistan/Afghanistan that wouldn't be able to continue hiding out without the continued support of the local muslim villagers.

In pakistan and Afghanistan, if we didn't force them to accept millions from the IMF and World bank, then force them to restructure their government because they cannot repay their international loans, they would be able to allocate national resources to education and food.
