  • @TheGerogero Yes, some Christians were saying yoga is demonic or occultic. There were some comments I was replying to that have long since passed into other pages.

  • Too fast.

  • she is lovely and she explains it in a way, everybody can understand it!!! very sweet and good instruction.

  • Love this!

  • 1:23 That is not how you do a pushup.

  • bitch get the fuck out the path

  • @ramtinking the rest of us will patiently await you growing up, sobering up, or graduating from Jr high, troll.

  • @markbhoward lol ok buddy get back to work now and stop checking youtube, I'll tell your boss and get you fired, TRROLL

  • @ramtinking weak troll bro.

  • this video is a little fast pace for beginners. I'm sure if you slow it down a little bit it would be easier to follow.

  • Shes hot

  • For beginners? You gotta be kidding me! If I tried that I'd kill myself. How about something for a 65 year old guy with no flexibility, eh?

  • @deucenahaff I can't touch my toes either :( Practice my brotha!

  • Please say it Soorya Namaskar.. not sun salutation! We don't want some day some one come and say This yoga is and patent it to their benefits, like Neem, sambar, turmeric etc. Enough is Enough! Thanks.

  • Does anybody know the name of the pose she goes into at 1:26 - 1:30? I want to research it more thoroughly, but I can't figure out where to start...

  • @tarnishandtears it's called Chaturanga Dandasana. It's a difficult pose if your upper arm strength is limited. Suggest having an instructor take you through the steps to prevent injury. :)

  • What is this kind of outdoors kitchen?

  • Damn I hate christfags

  • Hi Mr. OB! I hope the rest of the class can read this. Awesome teacher!!

  • Wow I remember seeing this video when you first posted, A LOT HAS CHANGED

  • My god that is such a nice ass...

  • @Pnigro LOL

  • slow downnnnn!!!!!! give you a speeding ticket for doing the poses so quickly.... very discouraging for someone who has only done yoga once before.

  • @enkadude well if that person doesn't know what is the pause button that means he gets discouraged because of his own stupidity.

  • @juuliaaa How can you keep hitting pause when you are trying to figure out how to do the moves and do it properly? There should be a slower video showing how to move each limb.

  • boner

  • Great job explaining and demonstrating the Sun Salutation!

  • I am young and i wanted to make sure I stayed fit even as a kid so I looked up yoga I found it it a really good way for exercise, balance, and fun!!

  • beautifully explained and shown, thank you very much. (I am re starting yoga after many years and don't have the manual I used to have anymore...I had forgotten some details of this paramount asana. Btw,it would have been even more beautiful to see how it is performed with normal fluency ans speed after the explanatory ones. But like this too it was super.)

  • I like facing dog position ;) kekekekekeekeke

  • DAT.ASS

  • hey maxtuber your a living abortion

  • I'm Christian, praise God in all areas of my life, but I thoroughly enjoy Yoga. I see it in no way demonic, occultic, or threatening to my faith or my beliefs. It's reactions like you guys are giving that gives Christians a bad wrap. Let he among us without sin be the first to condemn. Are any of you guys sinless? No. I didn't think so.

  • @AdellaDemona God bless you

  • @AdellaDemona In yoga or any other Oriental physical training régime, conditioning the body comes first. Spiritual realization comes in the end. The point is to train the body so you can train the mind and soul.

It's when we care for our bodies as thoroughly as possible and enjoy the benefits thereof that we become aware of God's pre-eminence and wisdom. Nature is proof that God always knows what He's doing - even when we don't.

  • @AdellaDemona LMAO I had no idea some Christians thought yoga was demonic! That's hilarious xD

  • @TheGerogero amongst the stupidest ones; that's possibile

  • boner alert

  • Thanks for the video

  • Christians have nothing better to do than troll an exercise movie? Go pray or something

  • Suppose my feet cant go together :(

  • Gracias!!!

  • And here I thought I was just exercising and trying to unwind while taking care of my body.

  • 1.) Very good teacher

    2.) Very pretty

    3.) You are double-jointed

  • Sun Salutation = Saluting to a pagan god.

  • @jmann114 may be your God is non-pagan, means it doesn't made from natural things.

  • @TheMaxutuber

    You don't make sense.

  • @jmann114 What is pegan for you?

  • @jmann114 what is pagan for you?

  • @TheMaxutuber

    Ancient nature religions. Nature worship.

All yoga is occultic, and the sun salutation is a submissive salute to a sun god/goddess, but don't take my word for it.

  • @jmann114 "Nature worship" thats what I want to say you. may be your God is not build from nature or natural things otherwise its become Pagan. other aspect of sun salutation is, if you cant see Divinity in the things you can see, then how can you see Divinity what you cant see. Yoga is not occult, As i can say all Western[Abhramic] religious practices is just foolishness, we dont even think it should be even consider to religion, but we r inclusive and we give place to all and so as you should.

  • @TheMaxutuber

Yes, Yoga is occultic, and I do not give place to all. I give place to Christ the Almighty and God the Almighty.

Like I said, don't take my word for it. Yoga opens your spirit to demonic forces, whether you know it or not. Christianity goes solely by Sola Scriptura. The Bible only. If it is not in scripture, it is not for us. I am not here to judge, I am here to tell the truth. I am not here to tell you to follow me. Don't take my word for it. Find the truth yourself.

  • @jmann114 No my friend, Christianity is occultist. It makes you people think that people are possessed. Yoga At least make people's life better in anyway without asking anything in return, while Christianity just first seek to conversion. and if you just believe in Bible, why dont you check the verses. But anyone who says 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell." (Jesus) Mat 5:22 and then "You fools!" (Jesus) Luke 11:40, both actually opposite to each other, tell me about it

  • @TheMaxutuber

How is Christianity occultist? Christianity does not use serpent power to achieve "Christ-Consciousness" to be like God. That is the work of demons (1 Timothy 4:1)

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone John 8:7 you are worthy of judgement to Jesus Christ. YOU, are not ABOVE, the Son of God. He judges you, not the other way around. And put that in context why don't you?

  • @jmann114 Same way Yoga doesn't use serpent and yoga doesn't claim to make you to be like God. It just help to make you Conscious more for the God you believe in, whether it is Krishna or Christ. You will never find a Yoga trainer who could say that, you need to believe in different God to do Yoga, its your misconception and that is point i want you to look at it. Yoga has Hindu roots for sure but We[Hindu] do no believe in proselyte as Christians, So have a Faith in ur God and do Yoga. :)

  • @jmann114 Oh you need help... big time

  • assssssssssss

  • wow!! you're good

  • Yoga Is HARD! But will be effective!! Namaste Dashama!!

  • Hey Dashama, I can't keep my heels on the ground in standing dog. Is it allright to lift them upp or does this take away the perpose of the whole position? My flexibility is worthless =P

  • @LadyoftheCaptain

I know you weren't talking to me, but i hadd the sam problem, so try bringing your hands in closer towards your feet, and over time, each time you do it, push your heels back even if that hurts and you will get them to the floor over time :)

  • @porcupinesoup7 Thanks for your advice =D I'll try that =) I kinda gave up haha, but you bring me new courage ;)

  • @LadyoftheCaptain Haha yay hope it helps!

  • Hey Dashama, I can't keep my heels on the ground in standing dock. Is it allright to lift them upp or does this take away the perpose of the whole position? My flexibility is worthless =P

  • I have to work at this. Can you do this and the Tibetan Rites at the same time? I get so much info' sometimes I have got to just relax and take it all in.

  • why 55 dislikes for dis video? :S

  • if i do sun salutation in the morning, can i drink lots of water before doing it?

  • If THIS is yoga for beginners I am totally screwed. I don't know if other beginners can keep up with this, but I find it way too fast, not to mention advanced- I don't have the flexibility to do moves like this yet, which is why I'm looking for beginners' yoga!

  • @Mirlynne yes, it's indeed for beginners. but the importance of "Surya-namaskar" lies in the fact that it comprises of 8 different "yog-asanas" and hence most advisable for common practitioners. break down entire sequence in steps and practice one at a time, but very slowly. always remember, with Yoga, breathing is very important and you should always feel comfortable in these poses if you are doing it right. little bit of practice and you can perform entire salutation in one go.

  • this is cool but you guys should check out Peggy Hall! :) shes great! look her up on youtube she has some amazing poses! its not only for surfers !

  • Really clear and helpful thanks. Explained things I wasn't sure of. Thank you so much!

  • Nice instructive yoga video. The only problem I see is.... where are you doing this -On the hike / bicycle path?

  • peace begins within

    yoga power!

  • in Soviet Russia, sun salutes YOU!!!

  • Nice and simple explanation.. Thank you.

  • this is yoga for beginers, you are going to fast...ive done yoga for a few months n this is not how it should be.

  • Thank YOU Dashama! <3

  • I Dashama, I know I keep coming back and thanking you, but I don't have any lower back issues. And that means so much to me. I go to a chiropractor, but I cannot give them all the credit, because I know this helps me too, I can feel it. I feel so loose and it really helps my martial arts. chiropractor did alot of fixing, but this well help me maintain what he has done. And now I want to be a chiropractor and teach people about these exsercises as well as help their spine and joints =D

  • Nice channel, love your work !!

check us out when you get a chance !!

  • I like the way the video flows but I think u have the second downward dog and forward bind switch. Love the video though just thought u might want to check that out :).

  • This is so easy for girls.

  • @jx14aby Your comment was almost too generalizing for me to ignore. Yoga is meant for everyone, not only girls. In fact, in the middle east, yoga is more prevalent in men than in women. Westerners have adopted yoga as being something only girls do. Think again before you make comments like this.

  • @jx14aby What is that supposed to mean? I am a 22-year-old girl and find this quite challenging.

  • @Mirlynne

Beginners are not required to do the whole sequence, as a first practice you can only do the one you are comfortable with and take as many steps as you need for downward dog

  • Very nice video for anyone wanting to have a start in Yoga practice! I will place this video in my blog.... very sweet!

  • Hi Dashama, I'm thinking of picking up sun salutations on a daily basis. However, one of my primary concerns/focus currently is that of losing my belly/tummy fat. Does this exercise help towards that?

Thank you very much for your detailed explanation. It ensures there are fewer chances of getting it wrong.

  • @taruntius1 Yoga was created to aid in meditation. If you're looking to lose belly fat, there are probably more effective things besides yoga to help you achieve your specific goals. Remember: Yoga isn't an exercise program!!!

  • I've wanted to do yoga for a long time :) I think this will start me on it!

  • Nice video. I would do these series of poses slower and I would also put more attention on breathing (I believe this would benefit the blood-circulation, the nervous-system and the energyflow(prana flowing through the nadis) ) during every pose...And I would also put attention on observing the energy-flows in my body/aura.

  • i think your hot ;p

and good vid, i feel good every morning doing this :)

  • I'm a super beginner and this is waaaaay to fast for me to keep up .

  • @logdogdolly : its called pause and rewind.

  • @bproducer I'd rather go slower and flow *with my breathing* than "pause and rewind" every 10 seconds. Luckily there are other videos on youtube that aren't speed yoga "for beginners".

  • Toooo much talking

  • Has this exercise received it's name because it activates the solar plexus chakra, which is associated with the fire element?

  • sounds very helpful to get you going in the right way,,its funny( not really, kinda sad that there are so many comments correcting you, verse thanking you,0 so a big thank you for your time here best to ya! btw u look flexible like gumby!

  • I remember before youtube when I was a kid I wanted to learn sun salutations. I didn't even know what yoga was, but I had a printed sheet of how to do the. Let's just say I failed miserably at it :) Now that I actually do a little pilates and yoga, your sun salutations video helped me learn how to *really* do the sun salutations! lol

  • seems easy....but i`m kinda too round and can not pass from the cobra to the dog(and i can`t do the dog correctly) i guess i`ll learn how to. can one learn yoga only from your videos and is it vinyasa yoga you`re showing?

  • this video is very uplifting :)

  • can you do a vid where the camera is behind you. its very hard to follow with you from the front. thank me later guys!

  • Hi,

Good video .. I am a new mom of 11 week old.. can I try this to get my body back to shape?

  • Dashama

LOL, I remember this video. So much has changed since then

  • Actually, i think your cobra is supposed to be upward dog. And in plank your hips are too high. You should be flat like a board, thus the name "plank".

  • Actually, i think your cobra is supposed to be upward dog.

  • Good job explaining the poses. The only qualms I have are that in mountain pose, the feet are supposed to be under the hips, not together, but different schools teach that differently. And also, when you do cobra, you are not supposed to use your arms to hold yourself up. Cobra is all back. But this is taught in many places. I think it is a common mistake.

  • You're amazing!!

  • Hi Dashma!

Can I do only Sun salutations for weight-loss. If I do 50 sun salutations every day, will that help me to loose the weight especially can tummy loss happen with sun salutations ?

    Thanks!

  • Loved the explanations, everything is so easy to understand. Thanks for giving everyone an opportunity to start the day in a different way.

  • good video, but I have always learnt that the toes are supposed to be curled in at step 3, chandrasana(the lunge), and the only time they are curled out is the cobra position. thanks

  • Am I supposed to do the movements as fast as you are doing them in the video, or should I hold each pose for 5 (?) breaths?

  • ditto(:

  • I HATE YOU... lol as a joke

  • I like how it's shown in real time. Thanks

  • =) i like that downward dog move =) nice ass btw xD

  • @LittleMonsterGirlie

Hey, i know what u mean, but you shouldn t put your feet much forward just so that you could touch with your heels the floor, i can t put mine on the flour either, i did have made a progress, while exercicing. You shouldn t push yourself, or change the position so that you could do what she does, or the experienced yoga practicers, if you keep on doing it, you ll notice you become more flexibel.

I do yoga for 2 months and my heels aren t on the floor yet, but that s ok.

  • @bloodredbracelet Namaste! I'm into my second week of doing sun salutations. I do 10 rounds ( 24 times /round) everyday in the morning. what about you?

  • Thank you for posting. I am new and older. Should I go at a slower pace and hold poses longer? Namaste.

  • @qmaureen your age has nothing to do with your practice but being new you should take things a bit slower. yoga is a self practice so while she can go through poses quickly you can go at your own pace. if a pose feels good theres no wrong in staying there longer. i have a few yoga videos on my page that are really good for beginners!! namaste and i hope that helped

  • Excellent way to teach going from plank into Upward Dog. That is where I have difficulty.

  • Hello. Thanks for the video.

I don't understand the breathing during the plank. How do I breathe at that point?

Thanks again. I do this every morning and watch the sun come up.

  • incredible flexibility.

  • your not out of my league

  • Hi dashama, Does this yoga help you grow taller? Thank.

  • @sexandgromit you can elongate your muscles and decompress your spine and joints by practicing yoga, so yes, it can help you grown a little taller. :)

  • @dashama Thank you for reply. What do you recommend? Thank you.

  • @dashama Dashama, THANK YOU VERY MUCH! ^_^ <3 Ur very pretty by the way.

    Keep up the great work!

    Kisses~~

  • @dashama even though ur 22?u can still grow??

  • Dashama, you bring so much joy into this world. I always smile right back at you. Thanks!

  • thanks for meticulously describing every step sun salutation...hope this video will bless the beginner like me, thanks Dashama

  • too fast

  • SOOO FAST LOL

  • Great video, but I think I'll stick to boxing exercises.

  • Your sun salutation video is very transparent and thorough, so it`s easy for beginners like me. From my own experiences i must say that together with daily meditation joga is something incredible. Namaste!

  • Yoga is my favorite workout. I love Yoga X on P90X. It is hard and long but very effective.

  • Dashama,

Do our knees, chest and forehead actually touch the floor before you come into cobra? i find this the hardest part and am trying to figure it out.

Thanks.for a helpful video. I am sure you know to disregard the inappropriate remarks.

    Amy

  • congratulations, your lesson is very good.

  • Nice explanations for the movements. Concise and well timed. Great job.

  • I am 60 years old. Before 2 years I have undergone By pass surgery. Now I am quite well.. May I practice sun salutation vinyasa yoga with dashama. Your advise please

  • After plank could you do childs pose instead of lifting your behind in the air??

  • Search for 'TheYogaSchool' here on youtube. Cool new videos being put up. Thought you guys might like it.

  • Thanks I needed this!!

  • yummy

  • i love the way she speaks

  • awsome streaches

  • well maybe if you keep doing this regularly, is'nt there a chance that it might help ur limbs simply elongate, thus giving one greater height?

  • great flexibility! i definitely cannot bend back that far! haha.

  • are you stupid? you going so fast!

  • You are going to slow, speed it up!!!
