I was there today playing ball and a bit of bars, I attempted to do a muscle up but they are to hard D: Instead I was playing around with the bars and attempted some of your abdominal exercises from your other video, ended up with the skin of my palm peeling off ): Its like a <5 minute walk for me. Ahahaha!

  • @neumann1940 2-3 months, 2-3 days per week is optimum.

    Focus on those explosive pullups and keep following the muscle up workout/tutorial.

  • awesome video. maybe you got some advice for me, i can do about 15 pull ups but i never handle to get my complete upper body above the bar. how can i train this part of the muscle up?

  • for some reason the close grip muscle up really hurts the outside of my wrists,

  • your joints will fuck your life in 20 years if you always strech them to the fullest! not good for your joints.........

  • @fskgm last time i checked people who are in shape have fewer joint problems than obese people. 

  • @megabyte611 yes of course, obese people will always have more problems than fit ones because their joints have to carry all their (over)weight, but thats just in general. if you train hard with much weight it will cause a lot of strain for your joints too (if you always strech the to the fullest) and it will damage your joints. not now, maybe not in a few years but in 20 years or so. and why don't you strech your legs to the fullest at the leg-press?

  • @leafblowinSK8 Practice kipping pullups, eventually you will get the muscle up then simply kip less. Also explosive pullups, try hit your chest to the bar.

  • @leafblowinSK8 explosive pull ups=when you do a pull up, but you pull your body up so far that your chest (pecs) are over the bar.

  • @FitnessFAQs How long did it take for you to perfect your muscle up? months or years? by perfect, I mean legs completely straight and no kip? And how long did it take to also perfect all the other variations displayed in this video as well?

    Well my fitness level is somewhat mediocre:

    12 close-grip pull ups

    20 chin ups

    40 pushups

    I can hold a one legged front lever and do the exercises in your video-

  • @leafblowinSK8 There are these things called Let Me Up's which is where you basically lay down and pullup (use a pullup grip) and it helped me with getting my chin above the bar.

  • @leafblowinSK8 also work on dips, they help alot

  • See just like l said Daniel...You totally Rock. I cant do the muscle ups, due to my rotator cuffs that have been operated on. But you got it and getting better at it each time. Keep up the great work little brother.

  • The easiest variation is the 'kipping muscle up' because it requires mainly just the co-ordination of momentum and minimal strength.
