Definitely a circular would be the best for a throw. You'd have trouble fitting all of the stitches onto a straight needle! I like to use circulars of 120cm length or longer for projects like throws and afghans.
@elsteffo which size needles would be good for hats and i have been think about making fingerless gloves and i am new to knitting and i am not sure which would be a good size for them for a beginner
@sweetypie1988a For hats you have two options: you can either work the entire hat in the round on double-pointed needles, about 20cm in length, or you can use a 40cm long circular needle for the main part and then switch to double-pointed needles for the very top of the hat.
For small diameter projects I like to use short double-pointed needles, about 15cm in length.
@lollypop959 yeah i been thinking about making hats too i have little experience knitting and havent been sure i have no experience with circular needles are metal needles ok because where i live bamboo ones are much expensive than metal ones
can you make a video on how you grip the yarn while knitting? Coz you knit so fast when you're holding like that. I have to move my hand upwards and downwards everytime I go to the next stitch
i love the circular needles they are so easy to work with, i have never used or herd of double pointed neddles befor so are they easy to use?

Do you prefer to knit with bamboo circular needles or metal? I am into hats and wanted to know what you think I should buy.

I much prefer to use bamboo, especially when it comes to double-pointed needles.

@lollypop959 I am a bamboo girl too. No doubt about that. Bamboo is the most comfortable and lovely thing to knit with.
