  • Reminiscent of the Wizard of Oz.... everyone is off to see the Wizard...er... HR LOL!

  • Base 10 isn't arbitrary. It stems from the fact that we have ten fingers and ten toes. Dilbert is wrong about a mathematical reality.

Unless, of course, he's saying the fact we have ten fingers and ten toes is some sort of arbitrary genetic trait.

  • @PaperbackWizard If what you say is true then our number systems base is arbitrary based on the number of toes and fingers that humans posses.

  • "as real as the dwarf who sneaks into my room and steals my underwear" ....THE UNDERWEAR GNOMES FROM SOUTH PARK!!!

  • Almost 2014 haha! :D

  • 4:42 no donuts

    4:50 donuts

  • This sums up the state of computer infrastructure in thousands of businesses and governments the world over haha.

  • This is my favorite episode.

  • @NeptuneMS385 mine too

  • so which is better, Hong Kong or Singapore?

  • Wow, I watched this show. Last year.

  • June 30th 2014 is On A Monday

  • Better than Family Guy.

  • @PestigeKelpone Easily.

  • as real as the dwarf at night who steals my underwear , LOL

  • @jacksonutton Underpants Gnomes grab mine.

  • I have all these on dvd :D

  • 3:27 i like the boss's hair black a sticking up like tress

  • @YodaLN 'cause that makes all the difference, what I said still applies.

  • Just checked, June 30, 2014 is a Monday. Sorry Dilbert I think your calendar needs a bit of work.

  • Y2K??? T3G??? B9C!!!! E4J... LOL

  • 4:53 is epic.... real executive talk.....

  • "It's quite splendiferous"

    I gotta say that sometime.

  • oh were off to see the catbert the evil catbert of work

  • 3:50 - Hehe at Alice's face - looks like she hurt her neck at the same time :-\.

And how many people noticed the boss throwing away his coffee stirrer? :-D

  • I wonder who he picked. Singapore or Hong Kong.

  • i notice loud howard is the only office employee in the opening theme that says anything, and its just a yelp... lol..

  • What I noticed is that throughout the various episodes and seasons, they seemed to have kept editing it, so in some episodes, howard yelped, in some, asok yelped, in some, both yelped, and in some, neither yelped. Weird!

  • i cant believe people thought the world was going to end because electronical devices would have 2 numbers never before seen right next to eachother on the date section.i dont know if theres more to the story, but i heard that was the main idea

  • There is more to the story. The general idea was that because of those 2 numbers, all the computers, and everything that depended on computers - medical machines, military networks, payroll systems, stock markets etc etc would all suddenly stop working.

I think one guy in kansas had to change a fuse in his computer plug, and that was the extent of the trouble the bug caused.

  • My father worked on the Y2K update for his company, the trouble it caused happened before Y2K. The testing of the problem is incredibly easy, so the problem was easy to see coming and so not many computer's had a problem after.

  • @pdeboer1987 Y2K update? you mean you think computers can't handle changing the date from 1999 to 2000? That's just absurd

  • no it made sense because something like in fight club could happen,

  • If it wasn't the end of the millenium, then what the hell was it,asshole?

  • of course 3rd ;]

  • 2001. Millenia count on the 1's not the 0's.

  • Ah but 2000 WAS the end of the millennium, you pimply young masturbatorial miscreant!

And then a new Millennium started in 2001.

Am I not right? Your mommy should give you a good spanking. And you would LOVE, it I bet!

    Is this not right?

  • so the period between 1.01.2000 and 31.12.200 was in NO millenium?

    GOD!! please!

  • HE must be desprate to call Dogbert of all people

  • "TWOsday?"

  • I know. I was *quoting*

  • llol

  • i've nevr seen this on tv before

  • it was on UPN i think

  • it was also on comedy central for a while.

  • People say December 21, 2012 is gonna be the end of the world, because ancient prophets say it will be the end of the world. And the Myan Calendar ends on december 21, 2012. I think its just stupid.

  • my spanish teacher freshmen year told us that too; we watched a video on the mayans/myans/idk and it talked about how they were always right about dates n stuff. my teacher said she believed them, personally i dont. it doesnt make sense to me how/why they would know.

  • hey hey i rememebr that video too its called voyage of the mimi i saw it in sixth grade is it them on a ship

  • well knowing my luck, i did the math, and the world would end the day i get my drivers licence *sigh*

  • Some people also think the world was started by a space alien named Xenu and the Egyptians thought that the brain was just goo in your head and the heart was what you thought with so yes it is indeed stupid

  • lol how could they cancle this

  • Why the hell did they cancel this show is all i ever think about when i watch this show ;)

  • Ever get a old computer at a garage sale,without the y2k update,then set the date to Dec,31 1999?

  • No, what happens?

  • I don't know,I tryed to by a mac from the 80's but some bitch wanted 200$,She thought it was a colleters item, what a dumbass.

  • Most of them just roll over the date, going back to 1980 I think or 1990.

  • I love how everyone was so sure the world would end in 2000 now everyones convinced it'll be in 2012

  • I wonder what the next doomsday conspiracy year will be?

  • @Jackpotxx After that, the'll start saying it'll be 2024, than 2036, and again 2048.

  • @Jackpotxx And when 2012 passes it will be the Y2K38 bug. :P

  • @Jackpotxx 2038, 19th January. 03:14:07 GMT

  • @Deepsmeg how do u know???

  • @darkwraith100 Google the 2038 problem

  • @Deepsmeg Microsoft will probably send out a software update that solves it. For all we know, Windows 7 might be patched for it.

  • @guidojacobs2002 it's more of a Unix problem, with the way it stores dates. Now dates are stored as 64bit values and not 32 bit, it'll be uite a while until the problem comes back. Windows stores the date in a different format, so won't have the Y2K38 problem. Using a similar technique, it was impossible for a Windows 98 system to be up for more than 49 days, as the uptime was stored in milliseconds, so after around 49 3/4 days, it would die.

  • @Deepsmeg I think I understand. So, has this theory been tested on an old computer set to the designated date?

  • @Jackpotxx i got a thereory on whats gonna happen on dec 23rd 2012. everyone thinking the worlds gonna end is gonna get drunk do everything they wanted to do when they were alive then end up in prison, lose their jobs, go to crime to pay rent, more jail etc. i'm high right now.

  • @BGDD27 Either way, it's a self-fulfilling prophecy so it will guarantee that something will happen December 23rd.

  • @Jackpotxx

    Nope, first it was 2000, then 2001, then 2005, then 2010, then 2012, then 2013, then 2014, then 2033, then 2038.. etc!!!

  • @Jackpotxx Personally I know no person who actually believes that the world is going to end in 2012, but maybe you're surrounded by morons?

  • I just looked it up... January 1st 2222 IS a tuesday.

    God I'm such a dork.

  • @Gruegirl

    Hey thats pretty awesome.

And being a dork in these times is quite a previledge, Or you might become like the pointy haired boss.

  • @Gruegirl How about february 2nd?

  • @romicumo Saturday

  • Why's it gotta be a BLACK Betty!!

    LOL just kiddin!!

  • lol "I will not be presured into having fun just because we aubotraraly use a base-ten counting system and a big, round number is coming up"

  • Geneva

  • Larry Millers voice fits so perfectly. Great comedian too.

  • Why is his tie like that? Looks funny.

  • In the office world it's similar to giving the middle finger. It's an office joke from many years ago.

  • I disagree. I liked the voices. Dogbert is awsome by the way!

  • they r so funny!lolz

  • Didnt u guys notice that The donut dissapear and reappear in every angle?

  • how dissapointing it never happend.

  • aaah. The millenium bug. No computers were affected by the bug. Windows based PCs use BIOS, which only change the nine to a zero. Unix based computer will in probably 50 years go back to the year the unix system was built. 1975 if you're using mac. Inacurate, but funny=)

  • kool.. but the properly name to this chapter is 2X10³ year not 1X10... lol

  • 1x10 means season 1 episode 10, has nothing to do with the 'name' of the episode, just its number so you know where in the season it is.

  • Word Word!! Can anyone tell me how old this show is or if its on air??

  • the last episode of this show aired on June 13, 2000.

  • !. i was 8, i didnt get half of the jokes, but i stayed awake until 4 am in a school night just to see this show. i miss dilbert. in the spanish dub dilbert voice is EXACLY like mine.

  • DOGBERT RULZ !!!

  • whoa black betty bambabalam

  • bam-A-lam, not "bambabalam"

  • Paris is definetly "better".

  • Paris is definetly "better".

  • Dilbert: You would've made a great mastermind!

Wally: Eh, the hours are too long...

    LMAO

  • Does anyone else think Ratbert's voice sounds different in this episode?

  • its ususally spongebob's voice, right?

  • they took a lot of ideas from earlier comics. trust me, i've read them all.

  • And with them being IT guys, you'd think they'd know that Y2K was never going to be a problem or even happen.

  • Man, Wally's credit card idea would've sounded so much better coming from Dogbert. It was his idea in the comic strip...

  • which is better heaven or hell?

  • earth

  • nah its your mom

  • nah its your mom

  • hey shouldn't we do something about y2k, I mean it must be coming up soon. it seems like it would be a problem

  • i know, i'm scared

  • Hello! It happened 8 years ago! It happened because it was 2000 and they thought there old technology would break because it is 1990's stuff.

  • I was being sarcastic

  • This is my favorite episode.

  • It's B9C

  • How many episodes of this were made?

  • about 30

  • if there is a god he hates America..

  • No, it is not a fact, it is a theory, however it is the most PROVABLE theory. And a theory is a way of explaining reality that fits the facts as we see them today. So maybe God created the universe, then hid all the evidence. If he did, evolution is still the most provable way of explaining what we see in the universe.

  • i disagree. We could sit here arguing all the points, but if you go on what Darwin actually thought then you should know that he was simply trying to find what makes sense. He didn't know all the things we know now and if he did I think he might've had a different outlook.

  • Maybe, Maybe not. Anyway right now, we are cluttering up these comments, I suggest we quit this discussion forthwith.

  • Scientific theory is different from the "theory". In science, and life, it is impossible to prove something. This is because we can't run though every situation out there, so the term theory was created. It mens that it hasn't been proven wrong, it only takes one false example to disprove a theory. Take the THEORY of relativity, so for no one has disproved it, but we haven't run through every situation. Until something disproves it it remains true. THAT is what a theory is!

  • I know this, but this is not a time for such a discussion. Let us all leave be and watch the video, and save our comments for that.

  • he's an idiot spamming religious nut. might as well just ignore him because you're not going to change his mind.

  • Black Betty is cool song too ^_^

  • At 0.18 that sosumi beep made me quit out of the intertnet tos ee if there was a problem on my computer! lol

  • Prague....heh Prague or Budapest? Prague!

  • Favorite line...

Dilbert: You would've made a great mastermind!

Wally: Eh, the hours are too long...

  • I love it when everytime during the opening Dogbert will just walk past the same without having to evolve!

  • This show needs to come back!

  • i remember when this show used to come on. i could never catch it though, i was too busy. Thank goodness its on YouTube.

  • y2k was a 1 degree or 12 yr countdown of the yr 2012 when the end of the world is planned...either literally or metaphorically.

  • how can you "plan" the end of the world???

  • By keeping it from happening

  • that;s the funniest (but sickest) response i've ever read on youtube.

  • i like this tv show but at the same time it is creepy i dont kno why

  • I remember Y2k... I was in first grade and i was a little scared but i thought it'd be ok because my mom said if the computers crashed we'd still be able to watch TV in the car. so I was happy. :-) LOL. Then I pretty much forgot about the whole thing. man I am glad the problems were minor!

  • what minor problems?

  • i dunno, my dad said there were no problems but wikipedia said a couple computers crashed but were re-booted by 2:35

  • He who complains is assigned to fix it

  • tokyo > munich lads

  • WRONG.

  • money is no object....unless you spend it

  • omg!!

    i love dilbert!!

  • So sad +(

  • Prague vs Budapest? I'd go to Budapest ;)

  • I was bored so I checked. June 30th, 2014 is actually a Monday, not a Thursday.

  • have you considered a career in engineering?

  • Remember, money is no object.

Unless, of course, you plan to spend it.

  • Scott Adams missed it by a year. Dilbert says it is the end of the millenium. But the millenium did not end at the end of 1999. It ended on the last day of 2000. Oh well, probably at least half the people on earth had this figured out wrong.

  • Probably more than that.

  • You're an asshole. Enough said.

  • Of course that was years ago before the life force was drained from my body and I became a selfish and apathetic shell of a man! AWESOMENESS

  • Just for the sake of posting a *Dilbert*-related comment: "Two-sday?"

  • What's wth the gay discussion here? Not the right place.

  • You said it.

  • I am personally for gay marrige, but why discuss it below a Dilbert video?

  • Who the hell watches dilbert and thinks of gay marriage?

I am for gay marriage, but I don't think this is the place to discuss it...

  • It is I, are you stalkee or stalker?

  • tokio or munich...id go with tokio lololol wally is da bom

  • the good old days of Y2K scarce................

  • man i miss dilbert

  • Darn, I'm in love with Wally

  • tokio or Munich????? Thats a hard one!!!

  • munich

  • I love the evil manager of human resources.XD

  • Actually it's the director of human recources, but it doesn't matter. Catbert rules!
